A little history...
Quick Commander v1.1 was created on
based on the commander 'Max Petrov'96',for what
Many thanks to its author. Max himself
Petrov has been on the Amiga for two years, but about Quick
Commander found out quite recently and gave
'okay' to continue his work.

Detected and fixed glitches 'Max'
Petrov'96':
-------------------------------------------------------
s On 'braking' drives (TEAC too
among them) it is impossible to read the directory
because of the constantly popping up 'No disk'.
s When running from drive B: commander
I happily wrote that it was launched with A, althoughinside I noted that it was launched from B: - with
copying the result is sad
s When running programs from the B: drive,
the commander abruptly climbs after her to A:
s The coolest glitch: when
renaming a file or disk when
by holding down the 'Delete' button you can leave for
screen border, nokpomcab frame, which
will not recover in the future
s If there are more than 66 Basic on the disk
files, the name of the 66th file (last
in the menu) is not printed, although the cursor is on
it becomes and the file runs
s A glitch that appears if outgoing and
output drives do not match (A>>B
or B>>A), then after MOVE commander
will forward this inscription in his own way
discretion (A>>A or B>>B) and sharply
breaks to the opposite drive
s Unpleasant effect when clean
(baseless) discs are not allowed
rename and generally enter the CARE menu
to restore a directory from an archive
And the actual additions:
-----------------------
s The bottom line with the menu has been redrawn
'(let's say 'Z-name' or '0-Run_48'
replaced with more understandable 'Name',
'Run_48'). Due to redirection
'hot' keys and releasing '0',
sinclair-2 is now completely equivalent to Q,
A, O, P, space; I remind you what to run
files with hotkeys such as 'C',
'N', 'T' need caps shift
s Supports Profi 256, 512, 1024 memory
KB with memory on RU7 (later changed
to support any types of Profi) (to
unfortunately due to a mistake it is incorrect
the first 108 KB are copied :( )
s Supports 11 character drive names
according to Conver standard
Differences between Quick Commander v1.2 and v1.1:
---------------------------------------
s Disk formatting has been introduced (with
Verify, faster than TR-DOS) which
allows you to get fast disks on which
Quick works at the highest speed
(previously, this had to be done first
formatand then restaurant
(clean!!!) disk). Quick uses
proprietary fast disk format
RDS compatible. In version 2.3
bug fixed.
s Indication for Check and Restore has been introduced
disk
s Completely new (rewritten from 0
(zero)) Profi memory driver, why
Many thanks to Spellbinder/Diensoft.
Any most perverted ones are supported
Profi with memory 128-1024 KB
(due to Spellbinder's
megabyte Profi in the driver turned out
terrible glitch: on UNMEGABYTE Profi
the driver is buggy :(. Fixed in the version
2.1)
Differences between Quick Commander v1.3 and v1.2:
-------------------------------------
s A new View item has been introduced, allowing
view screen files ('V' or
double click on @-files or
standard screen, 'Enter' - change
flowers) and listen to Pro-Tracker's
melodies (click on a file up to 64 long
sectors, and he will do the rest himself),
which is why Quick's size is nowequals 35
sectors <:-(
s Switching recording modes
(see details below in detail
description)
Differences between Quick Commander v2.1 and v1.3:
-------------------------------------
s 3 glitches fixed (!): the first one
malicious is associated with incorrect
memory support for non-megabyte Profi software
due to their absence in Minsk. Later
three copies were found (576K, 576K and
768K) on which the driver was
finally debugged; the second is related to
Quick's v1.3 refuses to play music
long 27 sectors; third (living with
times 'Max Petrov'96') SOMETIMES manifested itself
after keep cat (saving the directory to
160 track): after that they disappeared from the screen
file names and appeared after
rereading the disc. All glitches are fixed,
thanks to everyone who reports them on time
finding
s New graphic design
suggested by Werewolves: used
50% of it is graphics, the rest will entail
incredible increase in sizecommander, although it would be nice ;)
s Full alternative encoding
symbols, allowing you to work with
Russian names of files and disks
s 'Extended mouseness': allows
Rename mode with left button
emulate 'Enter', and the right one 'Cancel'
s If you are unable to enter a disk name during
formatting, exits
format mode
s In the Rename mode, the 'Caps' button has been introduced
lock' (previously it caused an exit from
Rename). Also added 'Edit' button,
switching Russian/Latin letters
s Installation in shadow RAM 32/16 KB
(finally :-) on the 'I' button during
Quick downloads
s Supports 4 drives with buttons
'Edit', 'Caps' and of course with the mouse,
'hot' buttons have also been added
'1','2','3','4'. Button '5' -
re-reading the disk, also possible medium
mouse button or 'buttons' in the top
right corner of the screen
s Due to support for Russian names
disks, names of disks that have been in Quick
v1.x and Conver v4.x will contain
The 11th character is incorrect, I advise
rename all such disks
Differences between Quick Commander v2.3 and v2.1
(2.2 was beta):
------------ item 'Z-mus'--------------
s In most cases, it did not pop up
the inscription 'No disc'. This glitch has been around since
version 1.1, but 3 reported it immediately
human (!) very recently
s A text viewer for 64 has appeared
character in the line, description at the end of help
s In connection with the advent of the viewer,
added new item 'Z-mus'
s The buffer for music (and text) has been increased with
n63 (in version 2.2) up to 80 sectors
s Now if the file is too large, it
is not ignored, but the first 80 are loaded
sectors
s Funnyglitch related to the option
'mark all', found by Ivan, fixed
s 'Extended mouseiness' - during
any disk operation can be done right
press the mouse button to press Break (not
I advise you to have fun with this function during
time restore disc)
s 'Buttons' in the upper right corner of the screen
='pressed'
s Small logo of the author
s Fixed error with Format disc. On
I was constantly swearing at slow disk drives
'NSec...'
s Another pause when recording in
'Slow save' - now even in this mode
Quick is faster than most
commanders
s Fixed an old glitch (since 'Max'
Petrov'96') - with Free sectors=0 not
keep cat was done
s PRETTY SIGNIFICANT GLITCH: WITH
COPY/MOVE FILE WITH LENGTH 16, 32, 48, 64 AND
96 SECTORS, THE Free COUNTER HAS NOT CHANGED
sectors. If you only use Quick
Commander,then he a little later
will fix it himself. If you mix Quick
with another commander, then the second one can
will be offended (Quick itself has the value Free
setrors are not needed :) In version 2.3 this is
fixed, but NO LONGER Quick Commander
WORKS WITH maximum format DISKS, they
they will simply be counted as 'honest' ;)
s Various little things, like: rearranged
left and right buttons during
viewing pictures; pictures are removed
more aesthetically pleasing :) etc. etc.
