Satan_philosophers and the Temple of Set
Soul of Faust.
The most interesting for a Satanist, apparently, will seem
driving motives of Faust. The satanic soul can truly be called
"Faustian". Scene I states that Faustus found
limited by both theology and medicine. "Metaphysics of Magicians"
promises power over everything that moves between the motionless poles."
Power beyond that of emperors and kings "extends
as far away as the human mind." "A great magician is a powerful
god; Well, Faustus, torture your mind to achieve divinity."
Transforming into a deity is an idea worthy of a Satanist. The topic of this
scenes - a passionate desire to break out of limits,
intended for a mere mortal to become a god. Marlowe takes
an old legend about a medieval magician who sold his soul for
24 years of pleasure and omniscience, and gives it a meaning equal to
the ancient myths about Eve, who tasted the forbidden fruit, and Prometheus,
despised the gods. The legend of Faustus becomes a symbol
beautiful human craving for unattainable heights and tragedy
endlessaspirations.
"Endless Striving" - words, excellent
characterizing the type of Satanist. We will find a new reflection of them in
philosophy of Spengler, who defines the “Faustian soul” in similar
concepts, as well as in Nietzsche’s calls for self-overcoming and
transformation into a Superman. "Death is the shortest way to
happiness// And the achievement of the noblest goal.// Is it possible
glory in everyday good, // Which anyone can easily achieve
a commoner?// Above all, I love what I don’t care about
reach out" ("Faustus").
"The Church of Satan" by Blanche Barton, 167pp, illustrated,
Hell's Kitchen Productions Inc. ("Church of Satan", Blanche
Barton). This essay should not be confused with a book of the same name.
title written by Dr. Aquino, High Priest of the Temple of Set
Blanche Barton has been a member of the Church of Satan since 1976, and since 1984
year - administrator of the Church. Her book describes the discovery
Church of Satan in 1966. The church was founded by a group under
called "Magic Circle", whose members gathered in the house
Lavey, where he gave lectures on occult topics. To this group
included the grandson of the US President, underground film producer Kenneth
Angier, as well as fantasy authors (including August
Derlet). In B. Barton's book we find a fascinating story about
how LaVey used to work as a lion tamer in a circus,then -
second oboist in the San Francisco Ballet Orchestra, then became
a traveling musician, then a police photographer. Barton
perfectly exposes the anti-Satanic hysteria that
In recent years, fundamentalists have begun to intensify, and are breaking into

"The Church of Satan" by Dr Michael Aquino
Dr. Michael Aquino, High Priest of the Temple of Set). Dr. Aquino was
LaVey's close friend, his main adviser and assistant,
second person in the Church after LaVey himself, Dr. Aquino carefully
documents the history of the Church from itsfounded in 1966 to
his exit from it in 1975 and the founding of the Temple of Set. These
documents are supported by detailed comments and analysis, in
whom Dr. Aquino displayed an extraordinary sense of humor. First
part of the book is devoted to LaVey and other leading Satanists. Second
part consists of 143 applications. They included early documents of the CA
on magic and philosophy, journal articles, descriptions of the first
rituals, accurate translation of Yazidi texts, magnificent
Dr. Aquino's guide to Satanism (Diabolikon) and much more
other. The book contains about forty illustrations.
"Dr.Faustus" by Christopher Marlowe
Christopher Marlowe). The play by K. Marlowe was written in 1604 on
based on the book "Faustbuch", published in Germany in 1587. Marlo
was an atheist, led a hedonistic lifestyle and was distinguished
rebellious disposition. His first plays, Tamerlane (1587) and Faust
(1589) reflect the playwright's admiration for great personalities; Marlo
rarely wrote anything about ordinary people. Given this
mood, today he would probably be called potential
Satanist Marlowe was unable to come to terms with the calm

"Faustbuch" is, in essence, a primitive story about life and
death of Faustus, and in Marlowe's presentation we see
a man of the greatest mind, tormented by a thirst for knowledge and ready
continue your search even with the help of the Devil. In your possession
medieval magic, in its refusal to remain within limits,

Faustus surpasses himself in suffering. Marlowe's Narrative

friendly, Doctor Faustus is popular among students and scientists,
generous with friends and not inclined to use his powers for evil, however
without hesitation mocks the Pope and his entourage
(this episode, apparently, was supposed to amuse Protestant
contemporaries of Marlowe).

John Dewey joined the Church of Satan in 1970. Currently

magical name Daimon Egan. Works as an editor
quarterly "Sera" - journal of the Ancient Brotherhood of Satan
(ABOS). The goal of ABOS is described as "changing consciousness by known
dishonest methods" for the sake of returning Satan to his rightful
place and restoration of his traditional role of "Enemy". Release

tyranny". ABOS philosophy is designated as "Nietzschean
teleism." ABOS believes that humanity has reached
apocalyptic situation: "Humanity has reached a critical
points... this is a challenge thrown by the Superman! Currently
time technology is used... aimed at overcoming
the natural order of things. If we take this further
path, then the Great Destruction will almost certainly await us. We must
create with the same zeal, withhow we destroy! Then and only
then we will be able to go to the next stage of evolution and surpass
natural restrictions! We will fly into the skies and live
between the stars! Whether you like it or not, we are the Power Elite.
Satanists must directly or indirectly use their powerful
influence on preventing disaster. It's time for

TEMPLE OF SETH
The Temple of Set was founded in 1975 by Dr. Michael Aquino and
some other people initiated into esoteric secrets.
The philosophy of the Temple is based on the idea of the evolution of the individual
psychocentric consciousness to divinity through conscious
