Everything began on Aug. 17 with passport control at the border

Before entering the hall we had to put

to party for another entrance we were surprised, because this 
is the first time in year 4 sure ... Naturally, that

general, rulilo. :-) Unfortunately, it was not without minor 
missteps (on this later). True, they were ... we can say 
insignificant and did not spoil the party (Except the musical 
competition, in my opinion).

So, we went into the hall. There was a recent
setting equipment, and people were quite
a little bit. The microphone was in the hands
Breeze ^ Fishbone, which subsequently
had the leading role.
The first day started right on schedule.
However, compo were not in the order that was specified in the 
program for you that was awful inconvenient if people wanted to 
come to any specific compo. I was going to See everything, so I 
was almost anyway. :-)

It is worth noting one thing that is a big plus organizers. I
liked the fact that before each
ZX-compo shows one of the best works
past years to a man who saw
SPECCY in the first (there were, like, and such), it was clear 
what was happening and what can be squeeze out of this machine.

The music followed ZX gfx compo,
512byte intro and 4k intro compo. The schedule
was presented 49 papers. Most
works were good, but there were quite
ticky-tacky. Also there were some works that I immediately put 
5 or 4, and then long to choose what to put on first, second 
and third places. Such studies have been somewhere around 15. 
In general, the level of ZX-graphs was in mass above PC'shnogo 
how the ideas and quality of execution, although such a 
comparison seems to be, and correctly. On the intro to say 
definitely not. Boring chunks, plasma, and combinations 
thereof, and a rather stylish original work. We see that the 
chunks and the plasma is already tired of the majority of 
authors looking for something new. In ZX game compo any 
surprising overlaps are fast enough persists. Claimed ZX 32k 
game compo replaced by Pc / Amiga multichannel music compo, 
which is also good. And in the traditional, and alternative

ZX demo compo was moved to the second day,

but do not lose momentum organizers. The first day ended on a

of the second day, we went to sleep. Probably good that the 
party was not as anticipated in the beginning, ie without

          Second day.

We woke up pretty early, as outlined before the party to visit 
the famous St. Petersburg market, "Juno." Subsequently, because

of the second day, and exactly on ZX demo compo - component, 
which I waited most :-( The second day was, in general, 
according to the schedule, excluding the components carried 
over to the first day, as well as ZX demo compo, transferred to 
a second day.

Amiga / PC 4 channel was better than the multichannel compo. It 
seems that the restriction 4-channel makes more work

handdrawn compo good work was simply
small. One gets the impression that many
work is not completed and / or the authors simply
did not know what to draw. In most studies, no one raisin,

done just one, there is depicted a scene of nature: river, sky,

There were 4 work. Three were on the PC, one on the Amiga. On a 
PC, showing 3D toilet :-), Fractals (rather beautiful) and 
something else. Amiga intro not wanted to run the projector, so

After vain attempts to demonstrate under WinUAE on a PC, that

because this was out of the competition. For this intro nothing

PC demo compo. Was represented by 3 work. Later added another

scripting language. First was a deme of Critical Mass - Nuclear 
Paradise. About this DeMouy can say this: the average response, 
and this is the maximum estimate for the demos, but there is a 
plot. Also, perhaps we could say that this work the only 
approach to display it in demo compo. Plus I liked the 
inscription: "ZX Spectrum - our choice!" :-) The second deme - 
Demoscene Dobro! - From the Sigma Group. Not a bad deme, which 
began and ended an excellent 3D video ad for a stylish music. 
But it is precisely because of this video I took to this DeMouy 
in wild compo, but not in demo. Video stylish of course, but it

the same animation, which amounted to 70% of the total
demos. The third paper, from the Throb, was an advertisement of 
their new demos, and consisted of one 3D scene. Honestly, why 
does it work got in the demo compo, I just do not understand.

Theoretically, it should be shown out of competition. Although 
it is recognized that reklamka was done pretty well.

Wild compo itself was not. Finished sheets for a vote, and all 
went as it shown out of competition. During counting on the 
projector spun different spots, and show how to smoothly passed 
in the wild compo. They showed clips of past years and stylish: 
The Killer Bean 2, Hybris NEMESIS - THE SOUTH PARTY. As well as 
video Freestyler on Titanik, from Placebo. In this

videos were not bad shots from the mounted

Freestyler. Another was shown excellent 512byte intro by

announcement of the closed party people began crawl out of the 
hall. Until now, being avid spektrumistom, I went to the author

Dizzy Underground, and asked whether zaimet copy of his 
wonderful playing (a game done really well. Even though 
borrowed from other games, graphics, game looks great, but 
three-dimensional Dizzy in the movie - just perfect). It turned 
out that the floppy disk from the author have been completed on 
the first day, but he recorded a copy of the game on your 
personal floppy disk, put author's label and gave me. What a 
huge thanks to him, I hope that the author is reading this text

             Results.

Party rulilo! It is a fact. Although I was a little
surprised to find a different opinion to the web.
What about taste, as you know, do not argue.
Rulila organization, the atmosphere itself in the party. Papers 
presented at the party, were different levels. Were worthy, 
were average, there were quite a ticky-tacky. Worthy Work is 
just took prizes, Although such a PC / Amiga demo compo at

I believe that there was nothing sverhinteresnogo general, but 
will not be offended by the authors of on my word, and, for 
example, ZX gfx compo most of the work was excellent and I would

gave first place to multiple papers). Bezglyuchnoy itself was 
part of the ZX party, however as the computer itself ;-) 

Now that was not so, list the major:

First and foremost - of course, it's about music
compo. Were slaughtered high frequencies, and it is not heard 
the people behind the board - it is not clear. Because of this, 
it was difficult to assess, and just listen to music because 
almost could not hear voices (and the fact Heard that it was 
not out the words) and high timbre sounding instruments such as 
flutes. Almost certainly it was possible to correct the sound 
equalizer, but this was not done. 

The projector was not so good, if not more so - it is poorly 
transmitted color (pale) and did not keep some resolution and 
refresh rate scan, which is why there were problems. Of course, 
everything is clear to find a good projector difficult, it is 
an expensive thing, and it just so poyuzat not give. Therefore 
this item here, so to speak, for the order.


The rest of the category of "detail, but nice":
1. During music playback you can
be shown on a projector any
effects. All the same music is playing, basically, the Winamp 
player. 2. It was hard to write anything in the vote-sheets, 
because there was almost no light, well, that even included a 
UV lamp. In fact, it was would be nice but not completely 
extinguish the light or think about something like that.

3. Vote-sheets were tear-off, that was a bit uncomfortable. 
IMHO, it would be better to cut the sheets in advance or, as 
someone joked, to issue more and scissors (as is known, many a 
true word is spoken in jest :-)). 4. During a music component 
to the PC / Amiga, it would be nice to show number of works on 
projector (again still not spun any visual effects), and not 
just pronounce them. Sample - AY music compo, it was all right.


In conclusion I would like to say a huge
thank the organizers for the wonderful conducted party, because 
despite the various trivia (which, incidentally, are inevitable 
in such events) party failed. Grateful BigBlack, xPasha, 
FatCrazer, Breeze ^ Fishbone and others participated in the 
organization.
