We (Megus / BW, Tigrr / BW, Vivid / BW, X-Cyber/BW) arrived in 
Petersburg from Yoshkar-Ola, in the early morning of Thursday

work directly with sound equipment during the party. Therefore,

All day we were engaged in adjusting the equipment, installing 
the necessary software components on the car, etc. Neither of

to FTP. All preselekt was postponed on Friday.


Later in the afternoon brought Commodore'64. He works for no 
one, certainly not presented because C64 scene in Russia is 
virtually absent (or non-existent?). However, the organizers 
planned to show the classic work on this machine, which

I decided to finally listen to those musical works which have 
already been sent and to make notes for yourself what works 
worthy of participation in components, and which should be 
eliminated. So, I took the PC BigBlack'a, put headphones to not 
disturb anyone, and listening to music, BigBlack himself

We started with the mod music compo. Perhaps this is the most 
interesting component tracker, because restrictions on Channel 
4 and 1Mb of forcing the musician to get a good sound really

they all passed preselekt. In total there were 9 and, like,

music! Work was very much greater than 40. Initially we thought 
that combine traditional and alternative music into one 
component, as more than half the authors in their registration

more time to listen to all their work and allow another to 
participate in the component. Generally, I do not understand 
his reaction. Their work has been done well, solidly in terms 
of quality, I do not deny, on the contrary I even pleased that 
the overall level of trekerschikov growing in Russia. But their 
work were not made for the party in the sense that they are 
designed for no very wide range of fans of this music. These 
works still would not take a high place. Forgive me and Nap

his band mates, but their works evoke a dream. And this is by 
no means good for parties. After all, since a considerable part 
of the audience flees from the room especially during the 
alternative music, and if components will work, that will waft

understand that the fine creative soul can not tolerate

com. However, after the party, sitting at home and carefully 
studying brought work, I saw that we are totally in vain 
believed that the authors of all works carefully read the rules 
and follow them. Several papers have more volume 4Mb, approved 
rules. In some studies samples were stored in the compressed

On this day, I was still scheduled to participate in preselekte
AY music. On, AY music compo! :) One of the most difficult to 
carry out on multi-platform party. It so happened that many 
representatives of the PC / Amiga scene on the spirit can not 
tolerate the sound of the Spectrum. However, many of them, for 
sure, love the sound chip modules my favorite cars:) In short,

tolerant to the good old Speccy. I have even less understand 
those radical people, who demanded to cancel AY music compo at 
CC'01. 

On this component were submitted by 42 paper. Our goal was to 
keep 20 works. And here again, listening to the works sent to 
the component, I never ceased to wonder how bad we have to read 
the rules. Despite the fact that the rules clearly stated that 
the remixes are not allowed, among the works was about 5 
remixes. And now, finally got a collection of works from 
PHAT'0, I can see that part of the works, which were presented 
at CC'01, have already participated in PHAT'0. By sheer luck, 
none of these works are not was preselekt:) Some work has been

have had the guts to put it on CC'01, to the main party of the

the first day demopati Chaos Constructions'2001. Enjoy a hearty

Before the official start demopati was no more than an hour, 
but everyone knows that any event always starts with the 
delays:) Last year the opening was delayed more than an hour. 
Many remembering it is prepared to repeat this situation. But 
their expectations are not justified. All the same mistakes of 
the past year did not go unrecorded. 

At the entrance to the hall each issued badge, on which he 
could write his name and the group as well as 2 sheets for a 
vote - on the first and second days, respectively. Could also

As in the past year, the hall was packed full, but still
the total number of people coming into this year's party, was
less. The main reasons for this were most likely poor 
organization CC'000, as well as the change of the organizers, 
which was preceded by a hearing on the abolition of CC'01. But 
people still come, and this is important! :)


Party started with virtually no latency. Came on stage Breeze,
which was soon dubbed "the man with the microphone," because He 
almost never parted with their wireless microphones. Breeze 
announced the beginning of the third international festival of 
computer Art Chaos Constructions'2001. He also spoke about the 
changes in the schedule of the party. Everyone remembers that 
initially party planned to hold in the mode of non-stop. Now 
the party divided into the traditional two days. One reason for 
this separation was that so necessary for the party of the 
projection given We only during daylight hours. The first day 
was exactly the same for tradition, given mainly spektrumistam. 
However, these shifts in the schedule were not the last, but

the organizers.

beginning of the first component - AY music compo. Nation

each component on the Spectrum Unbeliever decided to skip the 
best work of previous years in each category. In my opinion, it

The next component was the graphics. Here for me to have
great difficulties in the assessment. And it's not that all the 
work were so excellent or bad. Just be very difficult to

Further assessment activities were 512 bytes and 4KB intro. They
have already become traditional and very interesting ZX compo,

because many people thought that nothing good in 4KB, and even

First experience of 4KB intro compo at Funtop'98 gave us a job

sound system components. I confidently put it in the first 
place:) From 4KB I was expecting something grand, but my 
expectations were not fulfilled. Some of the works contain old,

The next step was to become ZX demo compo. But it

musical component to the PC / Amiga.


I can not now remember what kind of music we put
first - traditional or alternative. But still, Hall

on the PC / Amiga was not interested. During the alternative 
music people in the hall there are very few. Apparently they 
scared that a couple very down-hole hardcore things:) I'm not a 
fan of electronic hardcore, but the work I was very pleased.

off for them in pass:) Those who left the room, did it for 
nothing. 

After completing these two musical component was nevertheless
conducted ZX 32K game compo. But I did not attend on him, 
because was terribly hungry and went out in search of something

Finally we were able to listen to all components of the work 
from beginning to end in a more relaxed atmosphere:) First

compo.

Morning came and it was time to begin preparations for the 
second Day party. However, it was not so simple. In the cinema,

The second day began with a long-awaited CC'01 ZX demo compo.
Works, as I mentioned, was presented 5. In general, more

had to begin the most interesting component - intro and demo.

CC'000 I was expecting a higher level of work ... In the demo 
compo at Breeze'a proposal was included only provided
