               (Part Two)

COMPO. First it was announced 63 works, each shown for 20-30 
seconds. All surprising to the organizers that the components 
involved work from abroad, particularly from Sweden. 8-O Struck

about their origin. The whole show took place in relative 
quiet, the enthusiasm aroused only work under No. 32 - a small

 - What are your impressions of the newly scanned
graphic works.
 - Quality of work improved, it is unique. People will have a 
choice. If before you could poke finger in the picture and say 
that it definitely will in five or ten, but now no one has

     The break was long enough. Start presentation software. It

Excitement grew. Everyone was waiting for its climax, but there 
was 4K INTRO COMPO. With the advent of the captain, here, out

     What happened then, it is impossible to describe it
must see. His first work, 3D LAME, tuned
people in a serious way, but the work is number three,
DIZZY by SERZHSOFT - simply shocked! After the first effect, 
there was applause, little cease, but renewable with each new 
effect. Upon completion of such applause thundered, that was 
clear - this is one of the contenders. Moreover, tusovka 
demanded of the author. SERZHSOFT stood up and drowned in a sea 
of applause. The next pair of papers does not particularly 
stood out, and then began Veselukha ... First, all together 
watching the intro NEVER LAND by ETERNITY INDUSTRY, a couple of 
times trying to applaud, but with introhami from EXCESS get 
something so what all have been waiting for. Yes, exactly - 
after a minute wait on the monitors there are three lines, 
lower of which is "Retry? Abort? Ignore?". This all has not 
ended. While copying the intro to copyright disk, two people 
had fallen curtain with curtain. Laughed at everything - even 
the organizers and the victims (although it certainly was 
painful - the curtain was a metal pipe with a diameter of about 
8 cm). In principle, are to blame - there is nothing to sit on 
windowsills, they are not for this. The curtain was removed,

by EXCESS surprised only vector falling (as
I'm there it's called ?)... Well ... you understand me. Further
work does not stand out. Among them are the only CLOT by IMAGE 
CREW and OVERSUN by GLOBAL. When they announced the number 
thirteen, all pricked up their ears, and when the monitor 
displays an inscription VAV, carefully began to stare at the 
screen. Within a few seconds, as the sound of thunder of 
applause. These effects could be the envy of any demo, and then 
only 4K! At the end of the intro noise was no less than after

which all waiting MUSIC COMPO and DEMO COMPO. We decided to use

replaced by REAL TIME EAT'DRINK COMPO, as
wool for the ears, we do not have (and buying - in Moscow
everything is very expensive). ;)

     In the confusion, we have completely forgotten about LASER 
SOFT Obolensk of which are very surprised us by reporting

that they no longer LASER SOFT. Putting them
(MITCHELL, MR.Z, STEEL DRUGON) together, first decided to find 
out more: 

 - What do you bring to FUNTOP?
 - Actually, we wanted to bring a demo that
we wrote together with DR.DASH and SERZHSOFT, but 
unfortunately, this did not happen. Therefore, we have brought 
graphics and music.  - On your badges with the words ex-LASER 
SOFT. Why?  - The idea of renaming occurred after

BLADE of ROVERSOFT reproached us not serious
our name. We have often talked about this ...
BLADE We proposed to call CHEMICAL OVERDRIVE,
and we have long thought about it ... But since style
mixed groups, that is, each is keen on its
style of music, then had to choose a name not
tied to a particular musical style. Long-time standing over us 
this question, as a result STEEL DRUGON expressed a good idea 
about the title, all approved.  - And now you are called?

 - HARDWAVE CREW.

 - Your opinion about the organization FUNTOP'a?
 - Let it be no offense to the organizers, but generally 
holding weak, we expect more, and desired. First, few people, 
although organizers here is not to blame. Works are weak, can 
not do anything say about the DEMO COMPO, but MUSIC COMPO 
generally listen to impossible. We think that MUSIC COMPO must 
be conducted by mail, type ARTCOMP'a because half or two hours 
Spectrum Music very few people survive, let alone that it 
should be also evaluated. At home, you can listen to all in a 
relaxed atmosphere and not in one sitting. Schedule - yes, you 
can watch ...  - By the way, the impression of GFX COMPO?

 - Actually, a lot of remixes of digital images,
but the general impression - all the images are some 
weaknesses. We could miss more work. More One suggestion: if 
FUNTOP'99, it is necessary to expand the hall, and even better 
- to put it all a corridor or bear is at least one monitor

corridor.
 - Since you mentioned ARTCOMP, will you take part in it?
 - MITCHELL already sent their work on ARTCOMP,
He will participate in the AY MUSIC COMPO. Most likely, the 
deme, which we did not have time to collect FUNTOP'u, go to 
ARTCOMP.  - There were demonstrations of two computers:

SPRINTER and KAY 1024. What do you think about these machines?
 - About SPRINTER'e: opinion is positive. All this is nice 
great. But, again, is still not clear real prospects for 
development of such computer as SPRINTER. And not very hard to 
believe that he will receive widespread. Although the 
possibility of its us pleased.

 - My opinion: he was late for about five years, if not
more ...
 - Exactly. This again turned out "game in
good car, the car of another level. And this commander ... 
STEEL DRUGON had the good fortune to work in it during a recent 
trip to St. Petersburg. Reviews by no means flattering.
