I considered such a thing from the public to be blasphemous (especially

F.A.Q. BLACK METAL==================================================================================
1. What is Black Metal? Is he another direction
heavy music, or is it something else?
2. What do the terms often associated with Black Metal mean?
TRUE, FALSE, TREND, POSERs (true, false, trend, posers) ?
3. What are the musical aspects of Black Metal?
4. What are the ideological and spiritual aspects of Black Metal?
5. What is [Team TRUE BLACK METAL], who is in it and why
is it created?

> Q. What is Black Metal? Is he another one
> the direction of heavy music, or is it something else?
A. Do you want to get an idea about Black Metal? In this
case, first of all, clear your mind about stereotypes, dogmas and
understand that in no case can he be called another
direction of extreme music (along with
Thrash/Death/Doom/e.t.c.) - since this is equivalent to looking at
_one_ face of a polyhedron with an infinite number of faces. This
Art that has simply torn apart and eliminated on its own
paths all conceivable and inconceivable frameworks, boundaries and barriers. This
a boundless world in which everyone is his own Creator and
Lord is the world, reflecting the most hidden corners of the soul and
consciousness. Is it possible to express this in any of the world
languages? Naturally not - that’s why there are no ways to express it
many, including music. But it’s stupid to exaggerate the meaning
one way over the other - only they are all in close
intricacies can form a complete picture.
> Q. What do the terms often associated with Black Metal mean?
> TRUE, FALSE, TREND, POSERs (true, false, trend, posers) ?
A. Since there is nothing perfect and pure,
It makes no sense to say otherwise about Black Metal. Along with
groups existing by this Art, for whom it
makes up their world, reflecting _their_ in their creativity
sincere feelings and thoughts (TRUE) [cm. definition of Black Metal],
there are also individuals trying to make money from popularization
Black Metal money, fame and fame, although they themselves do not believe in
what is narrated in their texts is not at all
consistent with their off-stage image. TREND and POSERS
- terms that cover the concept of FALSE. So to TREND (TREND
-English-fashion) groups include teams playing Black Metal
under the influence of fashion and popularity of Black Metal. What to hide -
sales of black CDs are much higher today
compared to other extremedirections of music. But
such groups do not have the essence and deep spiritual basis for
What is more important to them is the number of compacts sold and good distribution,
than expressing the depths of your soul in creativity. POSERS (posers) -
persons who boast of their image on stage and in interviews, declaring
o 1000000% of their involvement in TRUE, throwing loud and
beautiful phrases - but in essence they are elementary
liars. This is the type of people who, in one setting, say
one thing, and in the other - completely opposite. Created by them
the stage image does not at all correspond to their internal
spiritual world. One can often note a striking combination of both
terms (TREND & POSERS) in one person, but this is not impossible
call it a rule.
> Q. What are the musical aspects of Black Metal?
A. Black Metal owes its name to the British group VENOM,
formed in 1978. One of the first albums of this team
(1982) was called Black Metal. VENOM played quite
hard and chaotic music for those times, in principle close to
Thrash style. In fact, VENOM were the progenitors
modern Black Metal. Almost at the same time there appeared
the following teams are HELLHAMMER (1982) from Switzerland,
reformed in 1984 as CELTIC FROST, BATHORY (1983)from
Sweden, SODOM (1983) from Germany. Later CELTIC FROST and SODOM
moved away from the Black style. These are the teams of the so-called first
legion of Black Metal. The music was hard, dirty and aggressive.
Mostly the standard one was used for extreme teams
those times a set of musical instruments - drums, rhythm and solo
guitars, bass The vocal parts were, in principle, typical for
early Thrash/Speed/Death bands. Hobatopom was among these groups
Quorthon Seth - which over time began to be used
various instruments and effects. But at the initial stage
At its inception, Black Metal was close to Thrash/Speed/Death
stylistics, with a more blurred and harsh sound.
The third legion of Black Metal groups (first half of the 90s).
The beginning of blossoming. EMPEROR (1992), ENSLAVED (1991), GORGOROTH
(1992) and SATYRICON (1991) from Norway, ABIGOR (1993) and SUMMONING
(1993) from Austria, DISSECTION (1989), MARDUK (1990) and LORD
BELIAL (1992) from Sweden and many other wonderful bands
took Black Metal to a whole new level. Innovation,
originality, variety of effects, keyboard atmosphere,
based on the old roots of black metal did their job. This one
the legion set about destroying the walls and shackles holding back the groups in
within a certain musical direction. Instrumental
variety, applicationvarious vocal methods - from
ultra-high and rough to pacnebhoro and pure chorales. Many
teams began to form side projects, usually folklore
directionality (ISENGARD, STORM, WONGRAVEN, VOND, e.t.c.) c
qualitatively new music - folk instruments are used and
the appropriate atmosphere is created by keyboards, vocals -
predominantly clear, sing-song, female vocals appeared
parties. And finally the fourth legion of Black Metal - reflecting it
current musical state (from 1995 to the present
time). The final collapse of all boundaries, frames and fetters.
Truly the pinnacle of the musical flowering of this Art.
Characteristic features: symphony, practical use
any musical instruments and ways of playing, vocal
parties are used in absolutely unimaginable variations - any
tones and frequencies. The most prominent representatives - ARCTURUS
(ex.MAYHEM), CRUACHAN, CRADLE OF FILTH, PAZUZU, PARNASSUS,
FALKENBACH, EMPYRIUM, BAL-SAGOTH and others.
The story continues - and it’s simply impossible
imagine what this greatest of all will be like
art of the twentieth century in the near future - we can only wait
and monitor events in this world.
> Q. What are the ideological and spiritual aspects of BlackMetal?
A. The most complex and voluminous of all questions. Cover everything
the spiritual and ideological sides of Black Metal are simply impossible,
therefore, only the most famous of them will be presented here.
So, initially Black Metal expressed the satanic
ideology in xpuctuahckom understanding of this meaning. Groups of the first
legion - VENOM, early BATHORY, HELLHAMMER sang Satan and
his surroundings, the forces of Darkness and Evil. Later Quorthon (BATHORY)
moved on to describe the life of the Vikings, mainly touching on them
bouhckue qualities - strength, courage and pride, in consequence
many modern Scandinavian groups have followed this
path.
The teams of the second and parts of the third legion set their
goal to destroy Christianity and restore the power of the ancients
dark gods - and were the first to move from anger and threats in lyrics to
real actions - numerous facts can be cited -
burning of churches (Count Grishnackh, BURZUM), "...The sky is overcast
gloomy gray clouds, here, an hour's drive from Oslo, lie
the remains of the Holen church - only the foundation of pink granite and
a few stones. In the middle of the ruins of a fire they fly through the air
burnt pages of chorale hymns. Forged nails are lying in

1996). Norway is a country whose name shudders
pronounced by many fans, became famous for its terrorist
acts against Christianity.

Venom saw themselves only as a musical component of the industry
horrors and played their role as followers of Satan with a certain
a bit of humor. But something happened when black crossed the northern
mope. For Norwegian black metal bands, their style issomething more
than a stage performance, they believe that their activities
help drive Christianity out of Norway and bring back antiquity
paganism. The most prominent representatives are BURZUM, MAYHEM,
EMPEROR, DARKTHRONE, IMMORTAL.
In other countries such as Greece, Sweden, Finland,
Austria, Italy, Japan, (in which this is also art
originated early) Black Metal carried an atmosphere of the occult,
evil, Black Magic, with an admixture of Satanism. Later they started
national and ethnic elements appear. Groups of the third
legion, along with the already traditional spirit of Satanism,
ahtuxpuctuahctba and the occult, began to be actively used
pagan, folklore and ethnic traditions of their peoples. Yes,
ENSLAVED (Norway) even the name of the style was changed from Black Metal
on Viking Metal (although musically this is Norwegian black metal of the third
era), in their works they pay tribute to the kpacotam of their homeland,
to his people (bukuhram) - his former strength, courage and pride,
which, unfortunately, many have already forgotten.
In turn, such groups as GRAVELAND, BEHEMOTH
(Poland), PRIMORDIAL (Ireland), VARATHRON (Greece) and others
glorify their ancient cultural roots and customs, their
pagan gods. There are also excellent teams in Russia,
exaltingtraditions and history of the Rosses, their human
quality and culture, but unfortunately they do not have the opportunity to
record CDs (like Western teams), but let's hope
that this unfair situation will soon change
the best side. From the former USSR - Lithuania already released in 1996
year magnificent folk black CD group POCCOLUS,
telling about your national culture. Folklore projects
famous Norwegian teams SATYRICON, DARK THRONE also

deep roots, culture and heritage - and Black art

On Camoe the sacred is freedom, pride and independence. And neither
there can be no excuses. I would like to separately mention the group
from Austria SUMMONING (ABIGOR project), which in its epics
tells the story of Tolkien's fantasy worlds, paying tribute to his
creativity. The world of fantasy books has a huge influence on
many black bands, and therefore it would be a gross omission
ignore this fact. CD design
reflects some Black Metal bandsreality
fantasy worlds. Withdrawal from everyday life, complete alienation from
modern world and immersion in a fantasy world where every cam
The Lord himself is the basis of these works.
And finally, modern Black Metal bands combine
almost all conceivable and inconceivable ideas that had roots in
first teams. This is the development of the ideas of Satanism (already in
its various aspects), ahtuxpuctuahctba, and preservation of its
ancient heritage, culture, and expression of one's inner
spiritual world, restoration of the greatness of man - his freedom,
pride, strength and much more. There are no borders or frames here anymore
does not exist. We can observe and directly accept
participation in the return of old traditions - both military and
spiritual - swords are forged, horses are shoed, in the forests sometimes
Colorful battles unfold. Yes, Black Metal Art
mhororpahho and truly majestic. And we won't stop there
to put an end to it - its history is being made before our eyes and our
hands, thoughts, actions...
