(c) Adok/Hugi

                      Dear buyer!

Congratulations on your purchase of "Demo Scene" (tm), the most
the latest and greatest role-playing game. With the purchase of "Demo Scene" you
acquired the most realistic, most exciting and
instructive, but also no less foreboding game of all
possible. Below are just a fewmain directions,
which will help you understand the game.

If this is your first product from our Demo Scenes collection,
and you cannot import any saved data from others
products, keep in mind that at the beginning the inhabitants of this
of the virtual world, "Scenarios" (tm), will call you a "Full Lamer";
it doesn't matter if you are in your real life
an amateur programmer using Turbo Pascal 6.0, or
accountant to the chief executive officer of the world
software company. Full Lamer has level 0. With diligent
training - at this stage this means: studying the customs
"Scene Countries" (tm), the most important Stagers and their "Products" - you
You will receive points for experience and can advance to level 9.

When you reach this level, your status will also
will improve. Now you will no longer be a Total Lamer, but just
"Lamer." Now you have a superficial knowledge of habits
Scene Countries. Most Sceners still treat you like
evil intruder, so you need to avoid confrontation.
But now you can choose one of the possible career paths.
This must be done, otherwise your level will gradually
will fade away again.

In our standard edition the following can be selectedprofessions: coder, artist and tracker. With the help of our
expansion kit, which can be purchased separately, you
you can also become a sysop, designer, editor, swapper or
Ansi-artist, you can also combine several professions
right away.

The profession you choose should depend on your experience and
knowledge you (accidentally) gained at the beginning of the game. For example,
if your other self has absolutely no talent in
music, you should not take the path of a tracker. you always
you can change your profession, but this will entail
level decrease.

Work hard, train, and soon your level and
experience will increase. Once you reach level 15 you are no longer
If you are a Lamer, you become a “Newbie”. Now you can
communicate with most Sceners completely without risk. However,
Be careful when communicating with the "Elite".

At this stage, one of your character's parameters
increases with your level: your image on
stage. This happens so that you can have enough
communicate with Sceners. There is one hint,
It is very effective to be always ready to communicate, but to behave
it must be arrogant and arrogant. INin this case the average Sceners immediately
they will respect you. But never brag about what you're not
achieved (Sceners call it "posing"), and never
appropriate someone else's Production (Screeners call this
"ripperism"). Once someone finds out the truth, your image
together with your level will begin to decline rapidly, and only c
with the help of many hard efforts, great achievements you again
you can increase them.

Once you reach level 49, it's time to join the "Group".
(In other RPGs, what we call a "Group" is usually
is called "Party", but the last word has something completely different
meaning on the PC Demo Stage, it is usually pronounced "Pati"
also translated into Russian as “party”) Only like this
this way you can rise to level 50, which will make you
"Average Scener". The more famous the group you are in
If you join, the faster your level will rise in the future. B
otherwise you can organize your own group yourself,
but this makes everything much more complicated, so it is recommended
for experienced players.

Once you do this, you should release your first
Products. Depending on their quality, products may have
either a positive or negative impact on your image.Of course
it is much easier to create Products in a group, this is the reason
according to which you need to join one of the groups.

So far you have been communicating with the rest of the inhabitants of the Land of the Stage,
mainly using "IRC", "Online Arias for
Discussions", "E-mail", "Computer Magazines", and if you
use our expansion kit, perhaps with the help
"Slow (snail) Mail", but now you have to think o
visiting one of the many “Demo Parties”. Impact on your image
and your wealth will be especially great if you take part
in one of the “Compos” (competitions) with your Products or
The products of your group will take you a good place. Prize money
you can invest, for example, in new equipment to make
the best Products. Don't worry, even bad places are usually not
do no harm to your image, only really
bad or even ripped products can destroy any
good image. In addition to Competitions, Demo Parties also bring c
provides plenty of entertainment. But be careful not to use
There are too many computer games on the Demo Party. Otherwise your level
can instantly go to zero, and you will be counted as Quake
Lamer", which has a level of -1.

If everything goes really well, if you've released a lot
good "Products"if you have joined many respected
groups and survived a couple of group wars, you will one day reach the level
200. From now on you will be classified as "Elite". Now you're on your own
you can set the rules of the Stage Country. Your image will be like this
great that every stager will admire you. Based on
whether you are a person of good nature or
perhaps evil, you can introduce new talented Newcomers to
The stage and help them develop, or just beat the Lamers.
But many days will pass before you achieve this
level.

See you! And enjoy the Demo Scene.
