Emulators theme
...............
. . .
First of all, I would like to put an end to the already quite
a much-maligned discussion on the topic of “creativity in an emulator.”
For some reason, there is an opinion that a person who has completely acquired a PC
stops creating for the benefit of the old Spectrum, mastering new
technologies, occasionally remembering “childhood”, looking through
a sophisticated emulator with new software for ZX. As a rule, that
the very spark, a kind of creative vein, fades away irrevocably for
8-bit platform. But here's a crimson gingerbread in the mouth for those who do this
counts! You look at new versions of emulators every time
are becoming more and more ferocious, getting closer to reality... But the price is
gluttony. And the further you go, the more powerful the PC configuration is needed. In general, people are not judged by themselves, but still a little
I'll tell you about the state of affairs. After another breakdown of the real
Pentagon, (I had several of them and they all broke) I spat
for everything, for the rotten half-living iron of the Spectrum and built myself a PC.
Ordinary first stump, (220 MMX), 6MB RAM, 4OOMB HDD (!),
3.5" FDD, without sound card, with 2 x CD-ROMs installed. Connected
all this is a mess for a black and white TV with a dead kinescope.
As you can see, you won't get far. And don't! One wonders why
Actually, do you need a computer? Play all sorts of Couter Strike games,
Ultim's and other fennies or work. Of course, such a device as y
I'm not suitable for games or serious work, but at least
something than nothing (SVGA, sound card, normal HDD and CD-ROM
put - ideal). Of course, the same one attacked me too
apathy of reluctance to create for the benefit of the Spectrum. The binge has begun
studying html. But limited resources forced me
remember, install the emulator and, having become accustomed, continue to be on
Spectrum.
What do I use? These are two emulators - "ZX-Spectrum Emulator
v3.05" by N.Shalaev and "UKV ZX-Spectrum emulator v1.2" by
K. Uglekov. The first one is for coding and viewing software, in the second I
I draw because video mode is more or less acceptable for TV (VGA).
No sound, no hellsynchronization, but I'm working,
I work for the benefit of the stage. Thus, I would like to emphasize that
despite harsh conditions, exist, live and try
You can twitch in emulators if you want.
The other day I installed the Real Spectrum emulator from Ramsoft and
I just fell out because of its coolness, and most importantly, its very high quality
emulation on P-200 MMX. Now UKV and Shalaev emulator forever
archived.
I apologize for using myself for comparison -
I didn't want to offend anyone.

Problem two.
===============================================================================
. . .
Emulators are cool. Cool, stuffed with all kinds of
pleasant little things, beautiful, gluttonous. Now they say that
there are such emulators - Unreal Speccy, Stealth and other monsters,
which promise to work on lower cars, almost
486DX-2, but at the same time emulating real life almost perfectly. So, I decided
look at this miracle of programming thought and pumped out Stealth
(I haven’t seen Unreal yet)... I must remind you that the other
Get rid of the noise suppressor, except for the beeper I don’t have yet. What's here
one might say... I remember that the editors of Born Dead subjected
severe criticism of those soft makers who forgot to insert
survey for the presence of Kempston mouse. HeresY editors will
criticize the authors of emulators who disdain surveys on
presence of a sound card. INas a result of such severe discrimination,
The emulator flatly refused to start. (But the authors and
it didn’t occur to me that there are still dudes sitting without
"sound sounds"!)
Here is a list of tested emulators that failed
run in the absence of a sound card:

Х128 Spectrum 128 Emulator V0.92 by J.McKay
ZX-Emul v.0.34 by Lion-17
Z8OStealth ZX Spectrum emulator v0.400 by K.Kolpakov

I think the authors of the above emulators will listen to my
words and realize the possibility of working without this “vile” sound
card. :)
I haven't tested Unreal Spectrum yet, so nothing about
I can’t say about its performance and “friendship” with sound.
