                "FunTop98"



          Official Information

       about the festival, v1.0



   International festival of computer
art "FunTop98" will be held in Moscow on 22
August in the premises of the Pilot
Secondary School No. 91
Russian Academy of Education, located at: ul. Cook,
d. 14.


   This is the first event in Russia this
kind entirely devoted to
computer ZX-Spectrum. The main objectives of the Festival - to 
establish contacts between producers, exchange of ideas, 
presentations new games and software programs, conducting

competitions with the winners being awarded cash prizes.


   To visit the Festival, you must first send a request to
one of the addresses specified in Section
"Contact information". Those interested can
upload your picture - it will be used for registration cards, 
which you can get at the entrance.



   Entrance to the Festival of charge, estimated cost - 30 
rubles (in the new money.) To register in advance

the price of admission to 1.5 times lower. The proceeds will be 
used for awarding of winners and

cover organizational expenses.


   At the Festival will open trading software
where you not only can get old
and new programs, but also to sell its own copyrights (not 
competitive) work. In the latter case, it is desirable to send 
them in advance. Copyright compliance is guaranteed.




    Common rules of competition



   By tradition, the Festival will be held contests work in the 
following categories: demo, music and graphics.




   From the same author / group of the contest received no more 
than one job in each nomination. If the work is

the result of collective creativity, rather the presence of at 
least one representative of the group.



   Work submitted to the contest must send in advance via email
or regular mail or hand in person, accompanied by information 
about authors and the work itself (see the sample application). 
Privacy and copyright compliance with by the Organizing 
Committee is guaranteed. Last day of registration papers - 
August 8. Sent out later than this date the work will be

adopted only in exceptional cases and
if circumstances permit. In the case of
excessive amount of work will be carried out pre-selected 
authoritative jury from different cities, whose members are not 
participate in competitions. No qualifiers work will be 
showcased out of competition, if the guests and participants of 
the Festival will express to desire, and will be included in the

collections.


   During a contest works viewers will have to choose three 
favorite and award them one to three points,

noting it on the form for voting. The photographers who took 
the first three places in number of points will be declared 
winners and awarded valuable prizes.

                Demo compo



   Work will be displayed on the computer the following 
configuration: Pentagon 128 (3,5 Mhz, 128K, TR-DOS 5.03/5.04T, 
AY-3-8910/12, 5'25 DS / DD FDD) 


   The transition between the parts of the demonstration is not
should require keystrokes, while the availability of such 
opportunities only welcome.



   Work must not contain obscene
expressions in any language, or some
otherwise not match the moral
and legal norms.

 "Pure animation has traditionally prohibited.


      Maximum duration

         demonstration - 10 minutes.



             Graphics compo



   Prohibited by a digitized or converted from other platforms 
graphics, as well as proper treatment of foreign works. In the 
event of such suspicions, the author must provide the jury 
intermediate phases of the composition.




               Music compo



   Allowed only on interrurt songs for coprocessor
AY-3-8910/12. Digital work will not be accepted for the 
competition because of the complexity of determining their 
originality. 


   Works are accepted in compiled
under the address # C000 (49152) form.

 The maximum playing time of 3 min.
