Russian language was made by Vyacheslav Zavalishin, a Russian emigrant,
who published their commentaries on Centuries in 1974 in
New York).

XX CENTURY
XX century - “The twentieth century, cruel and terrible.
Two wars, autocracy of slaves,
And science is in a bloody fire
Out of unbelief he will raise gods."
"The era of universal brotherhood will come,

"The motor will develop crazy speed,

1907 - creation of chemical weapons.
1907 - creation of the Entente
(military bloc of England, France and Russia).1910-1917 - revolution in Mexico.
1912 - the sinking of the English super-liner Titanic.
1912-1913 - Balkan Wars.
1914 - opening of the Panama Canal.
1914 - murder of an Austrian soldier by Serbian extremists
Archduke (heir) Ferdinand and his wife, which gave
a formal reason for the Germans and Austrians to unleash the first
world war.
1914 - beginning of the First World War:
"The Germans and their fighting mercenaries
They will go to the English military alliance,
The invasion will, I believe, be defeated,
But many lives will be lost in battle."
"When they see the swine-like people,
The ominous light will drive away the night and darkness,
In the sky with noise, whistling, the battle will begin,
And wild animals will gain the gift of speech."
In this quatrain, Nostradamus gave a visible image of the battle,
which is carried out using military equipment of the twentieth century.
"Pig-shaped people" - people in gas masks, illuminated by flashes
exploding shells.
"When the voice of a wonderful bird is heard,
Like the sound of an organ
Then a measure of wheat will be so expensive,
That people will eat each other."
"Wonderful bird" - airship, "sound of organ" - noise
propellers. "Measure of wheat" - a reference to France, whereWhite bread is common. The last line symbolizes war.
1915 - appearance of tanks - "People will create a walking machine."
1915 - first airplane bombers - "many unusual
kind of birds will blow up the air."
1915 - first use of chemical weapons - gas attack
at Ypres (France):
"The smell of lemon became poison and smoke,
And the wind blew smoke towards the troops of soldiers,
Choking from poison is unbearable for the enemy,
And the siege will be lifted from the city."
"He tears this strange army to pieces,

1915 - bloody battles in Western Armenia, Northern

troops during the attack on Paris:
