                   A little about programming.

Why, indeed, Spectrum and Amiga, but not PC? "What

firms producing software, the leading of which is Microsoft.

caring for thorough debugging the resulting program. Case

etc) that simultaneously introduces and negative aspects, which 
are expressed in slowing down the work programs and increasing 
their ob'ema. 

  During the years of PC was released all that is necessary for
work and even more. Programmer individuals or small groups
not able to release more or less competitive
program on the market, let alone sell it.

  At Amig'e situation is quite different: there are also
firms, software developers (by the way, sometimes they also 
make soft and PC), but in contrast, has a huge amount of free

distributed programs. Given the relatively small
ob'emy Amiga programs in creative teams the opportunity to
to create competitive products, which boosts
Company developers to produce high-quality software, otherwise 
it simply will not buy. I must say that about half of the best

programs have been released just creative groups (eg PRO
TRACKER 3, which subsequently became a model for writing
FAST TRACKER'a). This contributes to the architecture of the 
machine and convenient operating system without hampering the 
programmer, and the large number of system libraries, containing

many useful functions.

  At Spectrum'e firms, software developers are missing. All 
work on production of new programs rests with the creative team,

that exist in the face of fierce competition for quality
produced programs.

  From these data we can conclude whether
work on one platform or another. On a PC, the maximum that can 
be the expect a programmer - is the creation of another database

or another TETRIS'a. AMIGA on SPECTRUM and there is a real
the ability to create full-fledged programs of professional
level, a universal fame and even a considerable
material benefit. But it's not the point. The main thing - this 
feeling "Necessity" of work, which sometimes takes more than 
one month and not a sleepless night, a sense of its 
contribution to the cause. "Homemade" programs are usually 
written in the languages of low-level that, subject to 
elaborate the concept and the absence of timing issue allows a 
much more rapid, compact, and bug-free program, rather than 
issued by a prestigious company as a developer. On SPECTRUM'e 
level of writing complex software packages reached it seemed to 
unprecedented heights. Written several operating systems (!), 
word processing, graphics, music editors, various utilities, 
and simply useful program. Special heights reached 
"demomeyking. Modern Sinklerovskaya "deme" in elegance of code 
and use computer resources away bypasses all the programs (and 
demos including) written for the PC.


  Not left behind as the developers and game programs.
For ZX already out so well known to PC games like DOOM, Prince 
of Percia, Mortal Kombat, Black Raven - complete analog 
Warcraft. Prepare For Citadel (3d game), Dune II, Mortal Kombat

II, Worms, and many others. In addition, go out and original
toys of various styles and genres.

  On the other hand, the possibility Spectrum'a not as great as
I would like, and it helps to hone the art of programming;
but at some point, resources no longer enough in principle.
