                  PROLOGUE


               7 th century BC

          on terrestrial chronology


   Professor klystron with the planet Aglabat
constellation Centaurus sitting on a chair, clutching
in the tentacles of the laser soldering. The entire technical 
staff had already left, and a professor was left alone with 
him. A few hours work, and the last block of the main computer 
will be ready. After this will finish only minor finishing work,

that the powerful battle station began to carry out his deadly 
assignment. War with Skoriantsami from a neighboring star 
system has continued in 1994 with a variable success, but now a 
new invention of Professor Klystron - battle station, equipped 
with the latest weapons and controlled only robots, end nasty

Skoriantsam ... Such thoughts stir in my head klystron, when, 
suddenly, shaken by a terrible blow to the station. Rack with 
tools standing at the door of the main compartment tilted and 
fell, permanently disrupting the life of the great professors 
... 

   Over the shipyards, which was located

Ensued a desperate struggle.


   Attachment that kept the station,
damaged by the explosion, slowly began to sag, as long as there 
have not separated from the basic design. A slowly receding 
into the bottomless blackness of space ball busy fighting the 
pilots did not pay attention ...

   Over the long centuries of wandering in the infinite
expanses of space battle station is fully
lost its former appearance: Space
dust and numerous asteroids have

giant boulder, wandering among the stars.

   In New York there was a warm summer evening.
The Institute for Space Studies course was a normal working 
day. Michael Vance Ph.D., sat at an electronic screen

telescope and watched the lunar surface.
Having made the necessary observations, he wrote

attention was attracted by a small dot on the screen, which he

Michael sat down Calculations and after half an hour, looking at

close from Earth. The doctor rushed to the phone ..



   After four days the whole earth knew about the impending 
danger. 

   Government's most powerful nations
equipped a large space fleet, who immediately flew out to meet
approaching object. Ten hours distance between the navy and the 
asteroid reduced so that it can be

consider the naked eye. All once again proved that there is no 
possibility of an asteroid to take another course and the only 
thing left to do - it destroy it.


   At first wing flew the most powerful battleship armed with 
nuclear torpedoes - the product of many years to improve the 
molecular-atomic technology. 

   Torpedo rushed to a block of rock, carrying a huge charge 
capacity. Four minutes later the goal was achieved. The 
explosion was so strong that almost all photo-sensors ships out 
of service. 

   When they were replaced by new ones, and dust
the explosion dispersed the eyes of people presented itself a 
fantastic sight: glistening rounded body and barrels of guns, 
in the space flying space station ...
