        Mitnick: perpetrator or victim?

 Everyone who is at least somewhat familiar with the computer, 
knows that does the word hacker. On them are written in various 
books, articles, film and created the game. It seems, worked 
all the same principle of Americans to make money out of 
nothing. Everybody knows that now fashionable in America to 
rent TV series on the brutal murders buy pictures, written in 
prison offender sentenced to death, etc. However, very few 
people wondering why a person commits an offense that led

him to do so, or maybe even one? The most famous
hacker Kevin Mitnick is today. I'll try to tell you
its history, and you decide who he is: a killer or a victim
nesovershenctva system.
 Kevin D. Mitnick was born in 1964 in North Hills, USA. His
parents divorced when he was 3 years old. He lived in
Los Angeles with her mother, who worked as a waitress and could 
not pay due attention to his son. Maybe that's why Kevin

rather indifferent to the real world virtual world
reality, in which he was able to enjoy
power and freedom. At puberty, when the relationship between
parents and children acquire new features, some children
begin to attend section, mugs and more closer to
his parents, and some run away from home and live on the streets
which was done by Kevin, but he escaped into the street, and in
virtual world, where he became an expert in computer and 
virtuoso hack. His first feat of hacker Mitnick did in 16 
years, entering in the administrative system of the school 
where he studied. He did not changed their assessment, although 
he could do it without any problems. Important to him was quite 
different - the very fact that he can do. Well, of course, the 
important factor was the admiration his fellow hackers, such as 
teenagers like himself. The main their activity was then all 
sorts of telephone lotteries. For example, they could assign 
someone's home phone status of the payphone, and each time when

twenty cents. "Kevin's first encounter with the law occurred
in 1981, when he cracked a joke computer system

Cruz Operstion he was sentenced to three years probation. But 
in less than year, as was his next warrant. For the theft of 
private computer code from Research Laboratory of Digital

Equipment Corp. in Palo Alto. Mitnick surrendered by his friend 
- Lenny Dichiko, with whom he made the night more than a year 
of attack on computers firm Digital Equipment, trying to copy

operating system VMS. When Mitnick DiChiko asked: "Why
did you do that? ", he replied:" Because you - the threat to
of society. "The court used similar language to reject
application for bail. Assistant Attorney
said: "This man is very dangerous and should be kept away
from the computer. "And the chief of department of computer 
security said: "It is several orders of magnitude above the 
ordinary hacker." He given twelve months in prison, non-strict
