back beyond the horizon of our thoughts ruthlessly swept era
fall and rebirth, we go with them in the leg with a smile

people leave, people come, changing stereotypes, changing
contingent, changing the style, change the underlying concept.
you, me, us. where? there yet. someone in the shadows, someone 
is making steps in toward the light. the light is unity, they 
can be in a friendly pat on the back and be glad for them.

today, 15 July 2006, I served in the army, and sat down to do it
a short letter to the world. call it familiar to many
