 Hmm... Well, let's try.                                     
                                                                
     So as history XDOSA is quite connected with our history
network, then perhaps I’ll start with the network.                                
     "Official" date of birth VTK.ZXNET - 04/25/1997 (6 days
Turned four years ago!) For the first two-plus years we sat
onC-Dos program (before the advent of EMS), letters were written in Word.
And also as they wrote! 3a week it took a whole disk packed
mail, now and inGeneral zxnet this does not always happen.           
     And so, somewhere in 98, the question of automation arose. At least
at level processing statistics from the C-Dos program, etc. Not
I know why, but I came to head thought - to have something in common
"core", which by list commands will run in order
code blocks.  Which was implemented by me in a few days.
The program was called ExeBat. From the very first version
was work only with three-character ones extensions, and moreover
compatibility with trdos! Therefore, by analogy with msdos/isdos listscommands received extensions bat, and the code blocks to be launched are
som.                                                            
First of all, three programs were written:                       
date.com  - setting the current date                           
stat.som  - processing History, and writing a report to a file        
substedt.com - processing requests to edit sublist  
     All this equipment was installed at two network stations, and
enough worked for a long time without changes. Then there were no
names "X-Dos", none entering commands from the keyboard, no programs,
except these three.                                                
                                                                
    But the system gradually developed.  Built-in
commands, functions for programs, programs themselves, for the most part
disk utilities. (for example, disk compaction is also possible on
automatic)                                                       
    In at some point it became it is clear that the name ExeBat is no longer
expresses the entire essence of the system. It was necessary to come up with something new. OS
this was not, but it already came closer to the definition of DOS,
although by the essence this is onlyadd-on over trdos. I don't remember who
stuttered andthe letter X, and so it took root. :) Logging in besides
names also included in the names of some programs (such as
X-ZXWord, X-MetaPlayer and etc.). Distribution version has been released
1.36, which optionally installs (unpacks) those
or other components/programs. 3atem also in the form of a distribution kit
version 1.41, which even spread a little to other cities,
since was included in the set of works from our group (3
disk).                                                         
                                                                
    But the has become durable version 1.50, dated from
September 99, and the former until April 2001 itself
the last one. All this time passed accumulation of programs for it. And
Now full the set on my screw takes up 4 mega. Moreover
everything is stored directly in msdos, due to the three-character extensions with
there are no problems with this, and no hobets are needed :)          
                                                                
 What I currently consider it a plus, and why I use it... 
                                                                
X-Dos itself:                                                     
- 3SE (let this term be used to call 3-symbols extension)      
- compatibility with trdos (although this sometimes interferes, but rarely)    
- command line(after her, no one cares about naked trdos          
  I don't want to :)
- batch files, incl. and autoexec                                
- exit from all (except 2-3) programs back to the console or DN

- Storm Assembler (Зse)                                         
- ZXWord v 2.5m (full support for Zse)                          
- Sprite Master v 5.10 (Zse)                                    
- Laser Compact v 4.0 (Zse) - Bytex Font Editor                                             
- Games: 23 pieces. Among them are R-Type, KB2 (with the utility :)...

    And need I say that for the last two years I have been writing only
