We like sims here at SC, the more unusual the better. In the dim distant past, my older brother used to have a rather smart dinky transporter which he liked to attempt to 'park' between the edges of the carpets and a large sponge representing an imposing 'wall'. And just the other day I saw a huge artic backing into a side road with the greatest of ease. Yes, Juggernaut is a Speccy Lorry driving simulator with a bit of strategy thrown in for gameplay. You are given the option to chose the length of your trailor and to practice before the game starts.
The aim is to locate and collect four different types of products from depots found around the town and to return your loads to base. The bigger your truck of course, the less trips you make - but it's a bigger problem to control. You must first find a phone box where you can discover where the various things are, including the vital fuel stops where your damage is also repaired. The town is shown fairly simply as an overhead view looking directly down. As with most sims, your own imagination kicks in to take over, with the computer only really giving you the basic pointers. The graphics of various roadways and detail is plain yet very pleasing. Watch out for the speed traps and roundabouts.
Points are awarded for loads delivered to your home depot and a timer provides a bit more spice. Steering an artic is a nightmare, alot of thought is needed when you turn that steering wheel. A true forgotten classic program this one!
