Fountain PD Software News. Hard on the heels of the 'stimulating' adult program LOLLIPOP, comes H-CORE, a small collection of tunes, the like of which you won't have heard before coming from the portals of the excellent SoundTracker. Available now from all the usual outlets. The LONDON FOOTBALL DATABASE is already half finished but we wish these clubs would stop building new stands all the time as it's mucking us about.
You can never have enough fonts (yes you can! - A Davis) so we are pleased to announce the imminent arrival of F-FONTS 3, twelve more delicious character sets to thrill your Spectrums. All our fonts are either originals or just nicked from obscure games so they will be worth while ordering even if you already have billions of fonts already. We are also planning a special disk collection containing all 36 with screen dumps for Art Studio grabbers (Arrgghh - A Davis).
The Multiface has been around for ten years now and we've only just managed to get one! Sheer laziness and lack of foresight can be quoted. Still, now we have one we can pretend its always been here. Look out for more graphics within the SC pages. It begs the question, 'Is SC illegal?' We certainly don't seek permission to use graphics from other programs (by all accounts they probably won't give two shits anyhow). If anyone charges to distribute this zine then they may get in trouble!
Only 7 years behind now, and we are pleased to announce the arrival of a pristine looking +3 into the Fountain nest. Neglected and under-used by its previous owners, this machine will now be put hard to work compiling future issues of this very tome. Would anyone like to swap a disk copy of Batman the Movie for a couple of blank 3 inch disks? We went shopping in Office World today and they wanted `17 for a box of five that are reported to be 'crap' by someone we would trust with day-old baby kittens. Are my ears going funny or is the sound shot to fuck?
Finally, we are about to embark on the biggest database ever created which we hope will cover every Speccy game ever released in the entire world! On and off, it took us 78 weeks to go through 1400 programs (but we forgot to write things down like credits!). So can you help us? Have you already got something similar or just a few games catalouged? We will be catalouging in the following catagories: Name, Software House, Year, Mode, Cass load time, program type/description, Players, Controls, Credits for Code/Graphics/ Music, Notes on re-releases etc. This should keep us busy until the year 2015 so any help you can offer will be greeted with offers of erm, beer? Our results will of course be made Public Domain on a variety of mediums (but the main thing will obviously have to be on PC).
The next issue (11) of SC is available from March 4th from your favoured Speccy PD shop. Best wishes for the new year and lets see some more PFN publications springing up (then we can nick your graphics too...)
