This program belongs to advanced programs for working with
bitmap (!) graphic images. K to this class
also applies program Hard Core. However, in addition to drawing from
hands that program did not provide anything else. As is known,
on the Spectrum, bitmap images include chunked screens.
Who doesn't know - chunked the screen is just a set
bytes (usually - in format HardCore - 3O72 bytes), describing
the brightness of each 3O72 points. Total (in 4x4 pixel chunks) 16
gradations of brightness.
What do bitmap screens allow us to do? They, following from op-
The divisions are color images. In chunks - grayscale,
but each dot has its own color, or more precisely, brightness. Here, a from
the fact that each point has its own brightness can be muddied by such
well-known effects like Blur, Emboss and similar things. So here it is
this program allows you to produce wide
a set ofeffects available in programs from other platforms,
such as Photo Shop and Personal Paint.
But let's start from the beginning... From the main menu...
The first thing goes without saying -file menu... Through it we can-
We can extract from disk both the chunk image itself and the palette
for it (*.CH#) and for the text converter (*.CAR)...
In addition to two main system buffers are added to the program
There is also a third buffer - for the chunked image itself. Above him and
the main effects are produced...
The second thing in this menu is a converter... It allows
convert buffers 1and 2 as screens into chunks (Buffer x then
SpB), so and chunks into screens... But it also allows you to convert
write chunks to text (ASCII gfx).
Third - effects, but this will be discussed in a separate article.
Yes - pack special. buffer... More precisely, this is not a package, but a dis-
mixing chunk data in such way as inone byte
chunk file will store 2 (two) chunks.
View buffers - this is already clear, buffers can be viewed
ret... Special. the buffer can be viewed as chunks, and the rest are
fera - like screens...
3anucatb - everything should be clear here too, the only thing is
that when recording screen it will be written to disk with the extension
SCR...

                      - - - Effects - - -

  1. Blur - blurring the image with increasing average brightness
bitmap... Averaging the brightness of points.
  2. Smoked Blur - Less detailed averaging of the brightness of points with
a large increase in the average bitmap brightness.
  3. Alpha BLur - the first point, but with the location of the bitmap points
in a checkerboard pattern.
  4. Fade Down - Smooth increase in bitmap brightness from top to bottom.
 5. Fade IR - the fourth point in reverse.
  6. Truncate - trim the values of bitmap points to 16 gradations
new palette...
  7. Invert - invert each point of the bitmap with 6 points
.(real inversion, not subtraction)
  8. Dither - blurring bitmap points diagonally.
  9. Bump Blur - smooth blur of the bitmap, ignoring the
reload...
1O. Decriminate - decrease the brightness value of the points by 1.
  12. Edge Detect - calculation of image contours.
  13. Emboss - bright image blur from blending to outline
images.
  14. Focus - 'Posing' the image...

That's all that can be said about this program...
