Millennium Demo Party'1902
Rules (version 0.2)
Introduction
Millennium Demoparty will be held in the premises of one of the Minsk
clubs with good acoustic equipment, or in a cinema.
The progress of the party will be covered in detail in an online report on the website.

Date of the Millennium Demoparty - May 4..5, 2002.
The cost of visiting is about 2-3$ (for girls - significant
discount) Platforms: PC, Amiga, ZX Spectrum.
General provisions
Rules of behavior that everyone must comply with
visitors:
- Smoking is permitted only in designated areas.
- It is not advisable to bring food and drinks to the party
- It is not advisable for you to litter
- It is forbidden to be on the partyplace if you are insane(alcohol-drug) state (primarily point
concerns the organizers themselves)
- Access to the organizers’ equipment is possible ONLY with permission and
under the supervision of the organizers.
If the above rules are violated, the security service or
one of the organizers can apply the necessary
measures of influence (in the latter case, beat off the head). When
causing damage knowingly or through negligence, the offender
obliged to compensate for the damage. Otherwise, the violator
unconscious will be taken to a nearby station
police or forest (depending on the situation).
- All participants must pre-register
by filling out the forms. (this item is required)
- All visitors are recommended to fill out the visitor form.
This and only this form reserves a ticket for you. Availability
free tickets on the day of the party are not guaranteed!
Competition works
- All work must be submitted no later than 2 days before
started the party. (on the day of the festival, work will be accepted
will be given only if the full grade has not been received) It is advisable to pass
work in advance to check them on the party computer. (this point
It matters not so much to the organizers, butto the authors of the works themselves)
- Work can be submitted in one of the following ways:
1) By e-mail, addresses are given below.
2) Via ftp to the address indicated below.
3) Netmail via FidoNet.
4) By regular mail
5) On floppy disks, HDD or CD personally in the hands of the organizers, or in
day of the party. This is only allowed for large jobs.
(>2Mb) or in exceptional cases and only no later than
two hours before the start of the program of the corresponding competition day.
- The presence of the author of the work or his representative is desirable.
One person cannot represent the work of different groups or authors,
not included in the same group. Works that do not have a representative
may also take part in the competition, but they do not
participate in the distribution of prizes.
- PC intro and demo written for DOS should work correctly
in a DOS window of Windows'98, exit by pressing Esc.
Competitions
Speccy
1. 512b intro. Simple Basic bootloader + 512 byte code block
maximum. Maximum 1 min. No more than 10 will be shown in total
works
2. 4K intro. Simple Basic bootloader + 4096 byte code block
maximum. Maximum 3 min. No more than 10 will be shown in total
works
3. 16K intro. Simple Basic bootloader+ code block 16384 bytes
maximum. Maximum 5 min. No more than 10 will be shown in total
works
4. 640K demo. Maximum size - 1 TR-DOS disk. Maximum 10
min.
5. Hand-drawn graphics. No more than 30 works in total. Prohibited
transferred from other platforms or scanned graphics.
Standard screen 6912 bytes. 2 works from the author.
6. On-interrupt music (AY). Sources (ASM,ST,ST Pro,PT
2.X,PTЗ.X) Maximum 3 min. In total, no more than 20 will be listened to.

General requirements:
- Pentagon 128(512)K/AY/TR-DOS 5.04;
- after the specified time, the work will be interrupted;
- all work must be in TR-DOS without protection;
- works are accepted in SCL, TRD, hobet format;
- works on regular TR-DOS disks are crushed;
Games
1.PC Game compo
Maximum 5 min. Platforms: Dos/WinЗ2. Use permitted
DirectX, OpenGL, MMX.
2. ZX Spectrum Game compo
Maximum 5 minutes, the game should take no more than 1 disc.
General requirements:
- All works must either work in demo mode,
or demonstrated by the authors or their representatives.
- Either releases of new games or releases of new versions are allowed
already existing games. In any case, representedno release
must be freely distributed before the party starts.
- Functionality and usefulness of the exhibited game
determined solely by the author.
- It is not allowed to introduce functionality restrictions that depend on
from time to time. In other words, the game should work the same
being launched at least 10 years later.
- All works after the party will be freely distributed in
the form in which they were submitted to the competition.
Determination of winners
Winners in each competition are determined based on the results
voting by visitors who can rate each of the works
on a 10-point scale or refrain from rating. Final
performance evaluation is calculated as a trimmed average (i.e., rarely
any assessments encountered will not be taken into account).
In the case of a large number of visitors, it is not guaranteed that everyone will be taken into account.
score sheets, however, at least half will be taken into account,
and their random selection is guaranteed.
Prizes
It is expected that a significant portion of the competitions will be awarded to the winners
valuable prizes. The expected prize fund is ???$. Winners
remaining competitions and the winners will receive incentive prizes (CD,
T-shirts with symbols etc.) All winnerswill receive official
diplomas.
Notes:
- No awards will be given to works that take last place in their
competition
- When distributing valuable prizes for work that no one
represents are ignored. Prizes and certificates by mail are not
are expelled.
