Paradox'2k +1 - The report on the party in Rostov.

    Graphics and music are combined in the art of programming
something more than just a nice clip, carrying a charge

"Festival of Computer Art" for the uninitiated,
"Demoparty" for participants. At first glance, this competition
for someone for the right to be called the best, but for others 
- just fight for the prize and the first place.



    But if you take a closer look closely, a couple of hours
dissolve in an ocean of creativity, it becomes clear that the 
collected are these people that made drop everything and drive 
hundreds and thousands of kilometers. This is something that 
unites us all - "scene spirit ". It can not touch it, it is 
impossible to describe, it is not carry any commercial or other 
benefits. He just exists. In our minds and our hearts. This 
something is the whole paradox.



    July 21, 2001, first day


    At 9:45, Moscow time, the building of a nightclub

"Third Open South-Russian festival of computer art

Paradox 2001. "Expressed by representatives of city

    July 22, 2001, day two

From yesterday's fatigue no trace remains. Nominated for

designated by "science" computers.



    It seems to be gone only a half hour, and already 15:00 and 
starts show clothes from Uex.ru with the distribution of 
flyers. And here is what all eagerly awaited - Nomination pc 
demo. The latter work just blowing room. This has not seen 
either in Russia and, probably, worldwide. 20-minute break to 
get the results voting and - awarding the winners prizes

    Despite the fact that I returned to the party rather 
overwhelmed, feelings after 2 days in Rostov I have the most 
positive. Pati was even more gorgeous than in the year. I would 
like to Note:



    1. Pati Place was very well chosen. First, close
location to the train station and the Don. Secondly, a large 
hall with tables and bar (plus a huge number of cafes on the 
street). 


    2. Excellent technical equipment which was not
virtually no problems.


    3. The modern system of counting votes. Warhawk wrote
interface for a vote: were three companies, each during
break could come quickly and reasons to place balls in mice.
Each spectator was votelist, where he was given his username for
voting and a list of compos with cells for votinga. In addition
given a stylish pen with the analog of PDX.


    4. Lodging. All visitors invited to spend the night at one 
of Rostov recreation. It was all free.



    5. Tall level PC works and mediocre ZX. ZX was

    6. Prizes were awarded for first place: diploma, headphones,
cameras, mouse heaped etc.
