Glyukodrom - Glitches in Real Commander v1.6 - 1.8 and terminalke EMS v2.54.

   Hi! What you are reading now is nothing like new
column in our newspaper ;-). This section will be about Gluck, 
for the glitches, and certainly for the sake of glitches! ;-) 
It does not pretend to permanent title, but from room to room, 
perhaps you'll contemplate these things work. So, today we have 
a guest with numerous (of coz!) Glitches will be: REAL 
COMMANDER!!! Version 1.6 to 1.8 ... So:


   Gluck, which I discovered immediately after beginning work 
with 1.6, manifested in only two Speccy - my "Scorpion-256" (a 
very mysterious designs), and complex "Grand Master 128K. So, 
when copying files from disk A to disk B drive A first, all

prekrasno reads, and the transition Commander disk B, it
with an honest person who says to me, saying that the 
"Operation aborted!" though nor any BREAK'ov I did not shake. 
Interestingly, if one prior copying process, first make the 
current drive B, then perebratsya only on A, the whole

   Following glitches have been an attempt to format the RAM 
disk to 0 banks' coefficient garni system, "as if nothing had

    And yet another "nice" feature REAL'a - is incomplete 
copying long ZIP archives, it just takes them and brazenly 
combines, quite quietly and invisibly to the user. Naturally,

   Well, enough already about 1.6 to 1.7 will go to :-). I was 
pleasantly pleased with fixing these glitches. But when 
repairing old, there was (as usual) and a few new ;-). 

   The first thing I immediately noticed the chip: when 
aborting a disk operation (be it up, seal or removal), when the 
BREAK (Scorpion, Profi, GM), observed spontaneous inclusion of 
the 7 th page, because of what had to either restart the 
Commander, or blindly vylazit in TR-DOS and enter the command 
RETURN, which agree, not very convenient and ... 

   Second glitches was such a thing (yeah, yeah, I think it is
glitches) - the inability to listen to Mouzon, written in the 
early versions ProTracker'a (2.xx). Because so many of them 
were been written! A specifically to recompile, oh, how you do 
not want (and, to be recompiled, only 90% Mouzon (usually the 
best and most do not want) ...


   And the most funny was that when formatting, if you specify 
the number of cylinders greater than that which is your floppy 
drive, Commander, is back with an honest face, runs into a wall 
and continues to format the same, physically the last track. 


   Proceed further along the stages of evolution:


   Version 1.8! Here it seems to get rid of all suffering!
But what do we see? Playing old ProTracker'a not vosstanovleno. 
When you format a check for "maximum track" is not done, but 
still, the whole bargain, nekkorektnoe (place) seal disc! :-() 

   In the Disk Doctor can try to hang Commander trying to 
re-read the sector and then select <EXT+0>. 

   And about one glyuchke (he showed me his nasty nature
only once, but on kvazarovskom "Compact'e" repeated
from time to time): when trying to transfer files, Commander 
simply cleared in 48-to mode, and all ...



   The second guest of honor with us is painfully known to all
holders CDOS-momedov, terminalka EMS!

   I note that I have found is not so, and many glitches, and
they are all more or less avoidability.

   1 st: version 2.54 (on my comp in 2.55) does not want vylazit
macro "Z".

   2 nd: under the regime of the BBS, typing. User with sysop 
popping up all registered users, while at the Point last eaten.


   Third: in the overlay "BBS drugs utilishen" (hee, Kzhazar!), 
Startup option "Save All", if you press the "Abortion", the EMC 
podvisnet. 

   Some sneaky bugs found KVAZAR: mode BBS very often EMS-SC 
strives to scatter files devil knows where. Especially it often 
manifests itself when using the overlay "Atoss". Also, In this 
case, you are not immune from assassination zero track ...
