  Карта  "General Sound"   (в дальнейшем-GS) is intended for
works together with any Spectrum-compatible computer
48/128/256/512... and provides high-quality playback
digitized musical themes in *.MOD format, as well as players
transfer of individual digitized samples.  Playback is carried out
thanks to its own microprocessor, its own op-
RAM and its own player of MOD files and samples,
located in ROM. GS is controlled by software
side of the computer.
  GS is inserted so that its chips “look” at the chips
computer. GS can be connected to any Spectrum - compatible -
computer using wires. In this case, you should comply
some conditions:

1. Use the shortest possible wires (no more than 20-25
cm), otherwise your computer may malfunction.
2. It is better to take power directly from the power supply, and not from
computer boards.

 All the necessary signals are located on the legs of the processor of your computer
Puter.
  If your Spectrum does not have the IORQCE signal output, then run
next steps.

 1. Disconnect the 20th processor leg from all circuits (IORQ).
 2. Solder a 330-470 Ohm resistor into the gap.
  3. Now the 20th legprocessor will be called IORQ, otherwise
     the place where she went before will be called IORQCE.

 The number 3 should appear on the screen.

  GS memory expansion card up to 512 kB is installed in the slot
extension GS so that after installation it covers part of
GS boards. In this case, it is automatically initialized and no
no additional software required.
  Test for correct connection of the expansion card:

 The number 14 should appear on the screen. Now the maximum volume
loadable modules - 466 kilobytes.

 Attention!  The GS board may not have a conductor that connects
giving one of the signals to the expansion connector!  It is necessary to connect
thread 27th pin of any of the RAM chips on the GS board with a pin
A17 expansion connector XP2.
