 Hello, dear readers of the CITY newspaper!
 I am very glad that I have been entrusted with conducting an irregular report in the CITY newspaper
column  "Moscow News Block" (BMN). In this column I will
tell you what Spectrum is doing now in Moscow and in general
territory of the former USSR.  I believe that the information conveyed
the reader in this section is necessary primarily for those who do not have
connections to ZXNet, Fidonet or Internet networks.  These people
feel lonely among the huge crowd of PC users.
But I can assure them that this is not at all the case. Very many
spektrumists want to correspond by regular mail,
exchange software, discuss some common problems, etc.

  Moscow is not particularly different in terms of news on the Spectrum, but

  A few months ago a new network coordinator was selected
ZXNet.Previously holding this responsible post, MuscoviteAlexey
Ivanov (Alex) resigned these powers due to great
employment at work.  Now coordinator of the international network
ZXNet became Evgeniy Polenok (EVP).Evgeniy has always been active
user of a Spectrum computer.  About two years ago he
published the newspaper PROTON,which was always interesting to the reader
thanks to its diverse themes in the Spectrum area.
Now Evgeniy has his own feed node, thanks to which everything
Moscow spektrumists got the opportunity to have their own
full address in Fido. It looks like 2:5020/2065.***.
Now spektrumists have the opportunity to fully communicate in
ZXNet, and Fido, as well as exchange mail via the Internet.
Evgeniy’s node runs on a PC platform, but EVP readily dials
users of a real Specky with a HAYES modem.   And those
users who do not have a HAYES modem communicate with an external
world via a CDOS modem via BBS located on a real
Spectrum (Rabbit BBS and Music BBS).
 Users of node 500:95/462 now have the ability to exchange
by mail in automatic mode. To do this, use an overlay to
terminal program EMS - Batproc. The development of this machine
There are two users of this node, Merlin and Spencer. Versions
machines are constantly being improved.  Automatic loading
special timer program and setting the current time
launches EMS at a given moment, contacts the BBS, exchanges
mail files, unzips them and launches the tosser. This gives
the opportunity for the user not to sit at the computer all night hoping
download your mail, and sleep peacefully - the machine will do everything itself.
