Chaos Constructions '999 - report (continued).

 What, where, when ...



   The festival "Chaos Constructions '999" ("Constructions of 
Chaos 1999) (hereinafter CC'999) was held July 3-4 in St. 
Petersburg, in the auditorium of School No. 79, located at: ul

Bryantseva, 10, a metro area "Citizens avenue, the modern 
district of Leningrad.

   We found a place CC'999 easily, thanks to the rectangular 
multi-storey blocks of a modern city much easier to navigate 
than in the winding alleys of old St. Petersburg (and Moscow:), 
it does not matter). It was about half-past ten, on the wide 
porch of the school is already hanging out the company man of 
thirty or forty, and people continued to approach. Funny, but 
Random-a (Vsevolod Potapov) - director of the festival - almost 
Nobody knew in person, and when the entrance to the school with 
a whistle flew elegant cars and got out of her young man in 
dark glasses, all at once decided that it is Random! Clicked 
camera shutter ... But the "man in black and wearing glasses 
was Dmitri Menyaylov (Captain / Style Group), but where is 
Random?:) 

   Vsevolod Potapov, an organizer CC'999, a native of Leningrad,
but in the past few years has lived and worked in Australia, 
which is why very few people knew him in person. On the 
Internet I've seen its one photo - so unfortunate that I have 
no doubt that it would not help me to identify its owner. And 
so it happened. Visual familiarity with the "commander" was 
held later, in Hall, and while the schoolyard gave the first 
few pleasant surprises! For example, if the couple of meetings 
that brought my friends and me a lot of sincere friendship fun

from acquaintance with people who hitherto knew only through 
correspondence:

    Since then the action begins ...



   ... Enlight'97 began with a street - from the reception 
desk, put up a facade in front of the Baltic State University. 
FunTop98 started with a dim candle with a trembling in the 
niche with keys to the rooms, near which the shadow of 
discernible shape professional guardian School 91 - there was 
no electricity, It was only on the fifth floor, where we 
reached out for yourself ... At CC999 admitted strictly on 
schedule, at twelve, and on the second floor of the school 
found a spacious lobby before entering the auditorium, which 
could meet almost everyone who came by this time people. 
Zoolook-and I noticed even at the bottom and on the second 
floor, we were finally able to really say hello!

   In the passage in the Assembly Hall had met the selection 
committee gathered to "half a ruble," with each man's nose and 
punctually holding up all this "laptop". Fifty dollars - ok. 

   Room was slightly smaller than the room 91-th school, but 
apart from the chairs were put benches out of the gym, and 
seats should be enough for everyone. Enough! 

   Pisishno-Amiga audience, among whom I recognized XPEh-a, 
conjured around a video projector, which somehow Spectrum gave 
a picture in black and white (? :-( (), an amplifier with a 
small, but quite pleasant in sound speakers, and set keyboards, 
monitors, white minitauerov ...

   "Sprinterovtsev" was not. Whether their bosses banned 
participation in the CC, whether lack of confidence in itself 
CC played a role ... Their opinion was vaguely described in 
ehah, and I will not repeat the unverified information. 

   It quickly became clear that "dosdavaemyh 'work is typed 
clearly no less than pre-sent (well, online networks, and their 
absence is still an everyday fact!). Ironically, among

            "All they want" ;-))



   Muscovites invaded the middle left row, being neighbors with 
Ascendancy, Rush of Belarus. 

   I managed to quickly chat with Oleg Golenkova - one
Holders of the server Ascendancy - ftp://ftp.telecom.grodno.by.
Talked with him, I always hit its similarity to other
Oleg - Artist Jankowski, and from time to time, I looked around
parties, does not appear there in the hall Hound of the 
Baskervilles. ;-)) 

   Legend Runet - Paul Pavlov - turned out to be the liveliest 
gay man, and a conversation with him was "like a cup of tea! 

   Zoolook was restrained and sad ... He was obviously glad to 
meet you, but something is inhibited emotions. But all the time 
I saw him smile. Someone: ((before leaving for the CC tells me 
that the reason sadness Zoolook-and may be Nicron 109 (in 
respect of Yugoslavia). If so - let Bear spit in my face or 
shot at close range - I do not think him an enemy! And I think 
a friend! AND I think that if we all go - the war will die by 
themselves. A Mishka sad smile ...


   Believe me, this smile is worth a lot.

   Among the people encountered on the CC999 was Stas Korovin.
Perhaps the Spectrum is the name of peace and not too familiar. 
But we were acquainted by Bytefall-y, but what happened at the 
end second day - another story. In short, living in Leningrad, 
a kind-hearted man named Stanislav Korovin, and until at least 
Remember this! 

   Random waiting in the wings! While on stage hosted Artie. All
went on the beam, and it is pleasing and reassuring.

   Group "Spectator" (LAS, Timothy Lapo, Boris Sharapov) 
deployed on the right flank KAY, equipped with General

But his golden hour is was ahead ... ;-) LAS pulled his

Smile!". :))) Indeed, It was one of the best jokes the first 
Chaos! 

   Strange, but spektrumistov-Petrograd was relatively little.
Part hanging out in the yard. I distinctly heard the voice of 
Vyacheslav Mednonogova and went to get some fresh air into the 
yard, good contests have not yet begun.
