   Now a little history ...


   It all started as a kid came to me with two cards on 174UN4A 
that we have picked up on the port deck. Before that there were

cooperative scheme of connection of some gadgets called "Modem 
for ZX ". 


   We certainly did not work out, but the very fact was enough
long. After there were several schemes that I've seen, but 
because of lack of software and programming experience, they 
were left without attention. But in vain - there was a very 
good decision. 


   Then followed a short break, during which I tried to use the 
pieces AONovskih schemes, but the results were not. Then came 
the scheme of the modem in the journal "Spectrofon", to play 
Skyuarda modem. At the same time, we finally picked up Sinclair 
to AONu. As a result, I had Spectrofon'ovsky option, while

Comrade - AONovsky. We have found a prog Tape Modem and things 
got underway. We first talked with the computer, and not some, 
and Speccy. We shook their files, though at a rate of 1800 
baud, but then it was very cool. I still remember when we 
passed Satisfaction, ZX-FORMAT'1 ... I even tried to write 
software for this type of modem, but eventually realized that 
it was has no singular perspective.



   More and more attracted to the idea due to pisyukami and
higher speeds. So, should have been chosen standard, and this
standard became HAYES. So I started working in this direction, 
read the literature, questioning people and here in the summer 
of 1996 at I get the first modem - Faylin 1200 Non protocols. 
Now this of course is ridiculous (for Kharkov), but to 
experience it was not entirely bad, even very good. And so I 
began to develop an interface to connect a modem, the good in 
electronics began to this time to deal relatively well. And 
finally, all were collected and included, as always, the first 
time nothing Timeout.



   After losing two days, everything was fine so that I even 
wondered how it could not work before. This landmark date - 
September 7, 1996. 


   In the evening the same day I first contacted the BBC and 
all pisishnoy I've read and heard about the BBC suddenly 
appeared before my eyes, and, as they say, I felt the steepness 
of the phenomenon. At this time I yuzal some terminalku written 
by VV51, but I doubt that the author wrote it for actually 
running the modem, since there were a few glitches, with which 
the work was absolutely impossible. I corrected it, a little 
improved by adding exchange protocols And it is enjoying the 
job. But the question arose of improving the quality and then 
just came by the way the scheme to enhance graphics 512h192 
regime. That it was a real buzz from working, especially when I 
saw the screen saver mode BBS 85 characters per line, then 
there is no breaking of lines - as it should be. Then add 
support ANSI, protocol YMODEM, a lot of modes and to this day 
it use.



   Also now developed an interface circuit that provides
connection of any ISA cards to Sinclair, that is multyahu, 
internal modem, etc. Also, absolutely calm connects Screw, Bat, 
normal flops. Also at that time, as I have just released a 
chart of its interface to me, it became known about a Kharkov 
design, which really is not worth the attention at least for 
the fact that the modem ports are available on a mask # FFFD
