So, while I’m slowly selecting pictures, I’m converting inter-level graphics, and
no general concept appears in my head :( But questions for ALLy appear :)

1. Is it worth making levels one after another, or is it better to do each the mission
should be loaded separately (it turns out that I accidentally provided for this too :)?
2. If all the missions are in a row, then should we do it again from simple to complex
or is it better to make everything complex.
3. Should the game be even more complicated than it is now?
4. Should we make underground levels?
5. It is possible to change the graphics of landscapes, music, buttons,
dashboard. What should we change, what should we not?
6. Make a new financial cartoon (the number of levels will decrease sharply), leave
the old one, or limit ourselves to one or two pictures?

These are the org. questions. But it would be great if someone suggested a general
storyline (like, people went to hell, to another planet, then they moved on...;
Kungs became good, and people became bad; well, etc.). It would be cool if someone suggested
a twist to individual levels (of course, if he saw the whole game and understood the jokes)

Please take into account that my wide possibilities for modifying the program itself are
severely limited :)

With warm regards,Слава!

And I greet you, Vyacheslav!

13 Jan 98 Vyacheslav Mednonogov --> All :

Here are the answers of an avid player who spent two weeks of winter holidays on “ChV” and
was the first in Rostov to complete the game in its entirety:

VM> 1. Is it worth making levels one after another, or is it better to load each
VM> mission separately? (it turns out that I accidentally foresaw this too:)?

It is worth doing both options with the possibility of choice.

VM> 2. If all the missions are in a row, then should we again do from simple to
VM> complex or is it better to make everything complex.

We should do it starting from the level of medium difficulty to super difficult (but
passable).

VM> 3. Is it necessary to make the game even more complicated than it currently is?

It's not really necessary.

VM> 4. Should we make underground levels?

No.

VM> 5. It is possible to change the graphics of landscapes, music,
VM> buttons, dashboard. What to change from this, what not to change?

Change the music to a more rhythmic one.

VM> 6. Make a new financial cartoon (the number of levels will decrease sharply),
VM> leave the old one or limit yourself to one or two pictures?

It’s better to have more levels and several pictures.

VM> These are the org. questions. But it would be great if someone suggested

VM> they went...; the kungs became good, and peoplebad; well, etc.). It would be cool if

Let's think.....

There should be difficulty levels!
People complained that I didn’t make training missions.

When changing the time period - it’s worth it.

Of course it’s worth it. I play not only for the sake of the process.

By the way, hello, this is not such an impossible idea. 2VM, what do you think? instead of
music with the modem to communicate, IMHO there will be enough bars...
of course the game slows down a little, but IMHO it's worth the candle.

It’s a pity to throw it all away - a couple or three for variety won’t hurt :)

Most people didn’t like the music in the game :((Okay, which author
(St. Petersburg?) should order the writing of music so that everyone is happy?

VM>> leave the old one or limit yourself to one or two pictures?
VS> More levels and several pictures would be better.

I'm afraid that this will happen :) Although more than 2
dozens of pictures have already been stamped.
Due to the increased activity of hackers, plans are changing and the disk with
additional missions will be auto-starting, i.e. the entire code of the game will be on it (so that the protection can be modified). the place
will not appear out of thin air, there will be half or three times fewer pictures. And the f-cut will be
rather primitive.
Of course, one could announce that this is a ChV-2, but I don’t have the nerve :))

VM>> how is it now?

AH> It’s a hell of a lot of difficulty to do!
AH> People complained that I didn’t do any training missions.

Yeah, tutorial. By the way, I liked how it was done in Myth (another ;) on
PC: the computer tells you (by voice, but text will also work) what to do, and you
must carry it all out by moving the mouse and pressing the keys correctly. If you did something
wrong - the computer jokingly corrects you and tells you what you did wrong... =)

In the case of CV, the tutorial from Warwind 2 would be suitable: you are given a bunch of
simple missions where you need to perform some single tasks of increasing
difficulty: cut down forests, build a fortress, break through enemy defenses, capture
catapults, use spells, besiege an enemy fortress and etc.

From Dmitry Meniaylov To All 21 January 1998

VM> Most people didn’t like the music in the game :(( Okay, which author
VM> (from St. Petersburg?) should order the writing of music so that everyone is happy?

Not DNK. I beg you...

VM> Due to the increased activity of hackers, plans are changing and the disk with
VM> additional missions will be auto-starting, i.e. the whole thing will be on it there will be

I don’t understand. Those. Old disks will not be needed at all? It’s better to make it start from the disk with
levels, then request the old disk, read it, then again the disk
with levels and play... Thus, you will cut off those who bought a broken CV.

VM> But there will be no restrictions and you can implement the craziest
VM> ideas (within the limits of the old engine, of course :) For example, I think a couple
VM> spells change.

So. This. It won’t hurt.
PS: This Saturday 56th will most likely not be at the market, as there is a drunken party at Cyrus’s... I feel that it won’t be possible without Black Raven... ;)

Sincerely, CAPTAIN/56.

VM> Of course, we could announce that this is ChV-2, but we don’t have enough chutzpah

Having thought about it, I came to the conclusion that chutzpah is enough :))

BLACK RAVE - 2. Preliminary advertising.

So, there are no plans to release disks with missions (thanks to hackers), but
ChV-2 is planned. However (thanks to hackers) there are no radical changes planned in the game (there will be no water/air objects, fog of war, expanded map and
other bells and whistles). Although this will not be just a set of new levels - we will remain within the framework of ChV-1 (WC1) and 128 kbt.
The game will be released on one disc (scratched :) The music is supposed to be ordered
either from Bobov, or DNK (2All: who?). Two new heroes are being introduced (in place of Poloz and
Grisolda), two new spells (in place of far vision), 4-5 new
landscapes. Because missions will now be strictly tied to the game - there is an opportunity to greatly diversify the quest element in the game. Approximately the work
will take 3-4 months (I hope everyone understood everything correctly about the timing ;)))
In the future, the release of ChV-3,4,5,6,7,... (how many Dizzies were there? :)
...Until you get tired of it or the x-ers are completely out of reach.
