Hi, All!

Instead of a preface.

I apologize to everyone who was misled by my calls like
“anarchy is the mother of order.”
As you can see, when it comes to specific actions, it is no longer about
anarchy. Even the amount, oddly enough, turned out to be the same as Sergei's :)
10 rubles each. from each person per month and for only 24 products - 120 rubles.
But do not rush to be indignant, but read carefully and you will understand that
for your money you can “call the tune”. And for custom software the price
is not that high.
Now I want to answer Leonid Potekhin.
Leonid, I know places in Russia and the CIS where there are not only 30 spektrumists in the whole city, as you write, but there aren’t even 10 people :(
I’m very sorry, but my project is STILL not for you :(
How could it be otherwise, after all traders, even if they are N-traders, are also people
and not from the “Salvation Army”, but here each of them has to “tinker
for a whole year” for some 5-7%, i.e. 120x20x0.07 = 168 rubles in new ones.
This is, as you can see, social work in the name of Spectrum.
The same goes for the Chairman, if I wrote about500 rub. per month, then this is not for this year, but when the Association “gets on its feet.” And for this year, God forbid
register and “buy a stamp.” There is no office in sight either,
just to get at least some address for registration with the authorities,
but nothing “Moscow was not built right away” and “the road will be mastered by those who walk.”
Alex Letaev and Evgeniy Malkov, please do not interfere, but on the contrary, help
whatever you can - this is in your interests. Because the authors whom we will “discover”
with the help of the SNS project will in the future work for you and the “big market”.
People, I am not going to deceive anyone, I don’t need your money, if you
read carefully, you will understand that I am not interfering with the Chairmanship (moreover,
since I am not an N-trader, I cannot even formally apply for this
high post), he will be chosen by the selected you N-traders by direct vote and
the headquarters will be where the as yet unknown
Chairman lives permanently. In the meantime, think
gather in groups ( BUT DO NOT COLLECT ANY MONEY! IF SOMEONE STARTS
COLLECTING THEM, DON’T LET US ALL COLLECTIONS WILL START ONLY AFTER THE ELECTION OF THE CHAIRMAN AND

Where do I personally expect N-groups?
2-3 groups Peter (if there are “kamikazes” on 40 or more clients
according to the number of votes proportional to the number of N-users,
I will only be in favor, because it is easier for the coordinator and in the future for the Chairman to deal with 7-8 people, and not with 11);
2-3 groups Moscow;
1 group each:
Nizhny Novgorod,
Novgorod Velikiy,
Samara,
Ekaterinburg,
Kharkov,
Donetsk,
Rostov.

The more groups there are from the regions, the less we will campaign for
joining N-groups in both capitals. But 240 people are the
minimum-minimorum without which the project will not “start”.
If successful (PERSONALLY, I DO NOT DOUBT IT AT ALL) for the next season
1999-2000, we will be able to expand both the number of groups and the volumes of
N-products produced. But we will NEVER become competitors to the BIG MARKET.
Small market, i.e. network market, only a help to a large market,
a testing ground for practicing effective interaction between authors-traders-users
and a little supportand “promotion” of novice authors and groups.
This is also a way to fill networks with high-quality, new author’s software and
other N-products. Competition and competitive selection will
contribute to filling the networks with demo and FREE software. And accordingly
a lot of this will get to non-network straight people and will spur the fading
interest in Spectrum in some places. As for the transition to pussies, Leonid, then
thanks to the virtual Spectrum, i.e. emulators, the person as a result
does not leave us, but only directs more powerful resources to solve the problems facing us.
“Enemy technology” works for Spectrum! :) And now, actually, about SNS...

A work plan is being formed for the period from 1.06.98 to 1.06.99
Requirements for N-users:
An organized group of 20 people with an N-trader at the head: member. group contribution
600 rub./year, willingness to buy in the amount of at least 1800 rub. per year (i.e. 30 and
90 rubles from each). Clear ideas about what N-products you want
to buy, i.e. the ability to formulate a requirement and orient your
N-trader in a small market (it would be nice if consumers of all types of products were proportionally represented in the group, because you will have to discriminate
the authors of certain directionsactivities).

Attention of authors and traders: all products of the first year of our activity are not higher than category 2, therefore they will go without special protection (only ordinary protection against
breaking the code) on real and virtual Spectrums!!! Nevertheless, these are
N-products (with a “digital signature”) with all the ensuing consequences.

Because. for the first year our project will have approximately the following outlines:
no more than 12 N-groups (240 N-users and with them 12 N-traders),
we will limit and fix fees for the first year (THIS WILL BE DISCUSSED
COLLECTIVELY BY N-TRADERS, but this is a forced and temporary measure when everything
works out themselves authors will be able to set prices within the price bracket
category of their own N-product) Here is my estimate: $300 - 4 times
(assuming that this will be system software and original games);
$150 - 8 times (assuming that these will be releases and inexpensive magazines
(with at least 2 toys or demos in the application) and $100 -12 times
(it is assumed that these will be 2-3 different newspapers of 6 or 4 issues
respectively, or interesting system/game software for beginners, but “promising” authors)
I repeat once again: orders are formed on a competitive basis at the request of
N-users.

Total: $1200-member fees (of which$360 ($30x12) - “salary of N-traders”), and
the rest according to the situation when registering the Association in a specific city
(for those who have forgotten why to register officially - then
to legally work with money and enter into “agreements” with the authors
and $3600 - the volume of purchases from the authors (if anyone thinks that “the authors will get rich
- then do not forget about their hard work and Moreover, for some
works the author will be a “collective” of 2-3 people, which means for each
there will be $(50-100)

As you can see, our financial capabilities do not yet allow us to attract well-known authors to
work on N-warez. However, if one of them expresses
a desire, we can always squeeze in $600 by refusing the corresponding
number of smaller works. . Orders (and money) will be distributed to authors on a competitive basis, based on voting in N-groups for submitted demos or detailed descriptions of future products. The author will receive money physically only after testing the finished product, but his position will be “protected” and money for it will be reserved by the ASSOCIATION.
Membership fees are paid 3 times a year. 200 rubles from each group, and forproducts

The most
strict sanctions will be applied to authors who fail to fulfill orders on time, up to the transfer of the order to another author and excommunication FOREVER
from SNS.
Competitive selection works of authorship will be produced 2 times a year (i.e., the
authors must have “developments and backlogs” and the period between the association’s order of
software or other N-product and its complete completion should not exceed 1-5
months) by N-traders, who, I hope, will express the will of their groups.
Demo versions and descriptions of competitors will be freely posted in zx.spectrum
and relcom.comp.speccy.
Distribution of ready orders only by e-mail to N-traders
(it is advisable that they have an E-mail) (distribution (distribution) of orders
further to N-users lies entirely on the conscience of N-traders, in groups, look
better who you nominate).
Other subscribers zx.spectrum, which were not included in the project for “ideological reasons”, are
guaranteed to see the demos and by the New Year will receive as a gift from the Association
about 5 positions that took places from 7 to 12 in the survey of SNS participants (in total
it is planned to have 12 in six monthsN-ware positions, per year - 24)
It is clear that N-users receive all N-products without exception, provided that
the required amount is collected for each product (and this is always the case, because
they vote “for” or “against” this or that product even before the start of writing
the working version and those that do not collect the required amount of money are simply
rejected). Now let's talk about what the contributions will be used for. If you don't have to send
money from region to region (and this is only possible on the condition that your
author sells to others the same amount as you buy from others), then the contributions
will remain almost entirely with you! :) I.e. if everything is clearly organized
and balanced, then they are needed in very moderate amounts. Since a public
non-profit organization, as a rule, does not pay most taxes, then
you will only have to pay an accountant for drawing up a report and the minimum
salary for the Chairman (how much now? 70 rubles). And the greater the real
cash turnover, the greater the accountant’s workload. Therefore, it is assumed
that each trader has his own bank account (!) so that there is no “stolen, brothers
money, the bank bursts, etc. - Sberbank will not burst!!!” and a reserve, and all mutual settlements
are made only once a quarter (including “payment of salaries” to authors in those
groups where it is higher than income from users). Yes - that’s another thing.bad luck,
each trader must account for the money correctly and send the information
to the association's accountant, i.e. Every N-trader should have some minimum knowledge of accounting, i.e. at least in the correct work with cash
(receipt and debit orders, etc.) and you will have to go to the post office who
doesn’t have a fax :( In general, you will have to seriously understand and learn about accounting,
as other public organizations that accept donations do
(a complete analogue of membership fees, of course, for reporting purposes we will not
separate 30 rubles and 90 rubles) :) That’s why I ask without scandals, so that there would be no further indignation like “I paid you for the software, and you paid me”... etc. We will deal with everyone, we will punish the culprits, but in a family manner and without “washing dirty laundry in public” and
unnecessarily attracting wide public attention (Evgeniy Milun, this is me
especially for you. I fully
support your fight for the protection of user rights, but excessive formalism will result in unnecessary
additional financial losses for everyone. That is, standing up for the user - you are robbing him and ruining the entire Association. I warn you right away: we will try to get rid of such law fighters and brawlers at the earliest stages - don’t
be offended, you yourself see what is needed and that it is cheap and enjoyable for everyone and decent from the point of view of the laws).
Well, we have a standard agreement with the authors.We will develop and create the necessary formula for their activities. :) again, something like “writing programs for a public
fund” to support Spectrum, etc.

If the center is forced to deal with N-traders for a long time, send
significant sums of money through postal banks (and all physical transfers
to avoid misunderstandings will be carried out ONLY THROUGH THE CENTER, your contributions will go away
“like water into sand” So pick up experienced and not quarrelsome comrades, the kind with whom you would “go on reconnaissance.”
Well, that’s all I have to tell you for now. So, applications from regional N-groups are accepted until April 15, hurry up, because there are ONLY 12 vacant places!!!
In case of failure (240 people are not recruited), I will resign and transfer
all the powers of the coordinator to the who wants to do this further or
to someone who will put forward another, his own project!
You don’t have to send lists of your friends, only the minutes of the general meeting and
the decision to appoint you as an N-trader.

A meeting of citizens of the city of such and such, after hearing messages about the SNS project,
decided:
1) approve this project in the first reading;
2) form an N-group in the city ...;

You will be responsible for all members of your group personally to the Chairman,
whose elections are carried out by N-traders and most likely you will receive the status of a regional branch of the Association (we'll see how much additional legwork and extra financial expenses this will require).
After you have elected the Chairman, I I will officially resign and hand over
them, along with official documents, which he will not have the right to violate, to the Chairman. Naturally, he will also have to “ESTABLISH” :)
Each N-trader has equal rights with everyone and 1 vote in ANY voting,
if his N-group has more than 20 members, then he is from every 20 people. has
an additional 1 vote.
We need (according to my estimates) about 9-12 authors, sotry
to have them in groups (1-2 per group, so that there is someone to choose from).
After all, authors from outside - this is already the need to send money with all
the above consequences.
