 General rules for all competitions at all
               platforms:
 =======================================================

1. Works whose release date is earlier than
August 26, 1996 are not allowed for
participation in competitions.

2. To go to the next part of the demo
(intro) should not require pressing a key
vish (except for sound configuration/
video at the beginning).

3. In Demo (intro) compo, pure
animation: you can use animation
as part of demo, but demo should not consist
only from animation.

4. Graphics compo is prohibited
scanned or transferred from others
work platforms.

5. Must be present at least
one representative from the team
submitting something for a competition.

6. File names must match
ISO-9660 (i.e. only characters allowed
"A-Z" and "0-9" and maximumlength -
8+3).   This is necessary to avoid
difficulties under MSDOS.

7. Acceptance/registration of works for competitions
stops 1 hour before start
the corresponding competition.  Registration
work on all Music compo stops in
first day (exact time is indicated in
graphics).


  I. Rules for conducting competitions on PC.

        *Minimum configuration

 works submitted for the competition must
      work in this configuration:

      48bDX, HMB, SVGA 1MB, No Sound

   * Compo PC minimum configuration
   machines on which will be carried out
                competitions:

 P5-100/8MB/SVGA 2MB Sound Blaster (Pro)
  2.0 and Gravis UltraSound 1MB. MSDOS. On
       choice: QEMM/HIMEM/Clean boot


                * Competitions

 8k Intro compo (PC) -------------------

  The maximum size is 8k. Maximum
 demonstration time - 5 minutes. VGA only
  case-compatible modes. _Not_ SVGA!
  It is advisable to exit to DOS by pressing ESC.

64k Intro compo (PC) --------------------

 The maximum size is 64k. Maximum
demonstration time - 10 minutes. VGA and SVGA
 VESA (UniVBE 5.3) modes. No permission
 above 640x480. Exit to DOS is required
               pressing ESC.


     Demo compo (PC) ---------------

Maximum HMB size Maximum time
The duration of the demonstration is 15 minutes (the demo itself is

(UniVBE 5.3) modes. Resolution no higher
 640x480.It is required to exit to DOS by pressing ESC.


             Music compo (PC,

 III. Rules for holding contests on ZX
                Spectrum.

5.03/5.04T, AY-3-8910/12.5'25 DS/DD FDD)


Graphics compo (ZX) -------------------

This compo accepts pictures in
standard Spectrum format
screen 16384, 6912 bytes.

Music compo (ZX) ----------------

This compo accepts music forcoprocessor AY-3-8910/12. Music can
be both on interrupt and digital.
