Musician (music artist) - musician - a person who writes music for
demos, intros, music disks, etc.
Coder (code) - uh.. programmer. In a fairly narrow sense of this
words - mainly uses assembler.
Graphician (gfx artist) - artist - draws pictures, logo,
fonts, etc.
Swapper (swap) - distributes software(of your group
or not - it doesn’t matter) via _regular_ (not email) mail
(parcels, letters, etc.)
Fixer (fix) - deals with fixing software in order to
correct operation. For example, fixes other people's bugs, edits
NTSC software for working in a PAL machine (Commodore B4)
Organizer (organize) - organizer, ideological inspirer or something
;) commands.
Cracker (crack) - deals with hacking software in order to remove
protection/any restrictions.
Crew, Group - team - a group of people united by an idea (or
organizer) to implement any project(s) (for example
writing demos, hacking/distributing software or anything
yet).
Demo (in general) is a program written for the purpose of showing
team capabilities in programming, graphics, music,
design. The goal is not to make a profit.
more precisely:
demo (demonstration) - size more than ^100k
intro (introduction) - size no more than 100k. Conditionally possible
divided into:
1) Invitation intro - intro written with the aim of inviting people
at someone's party. Contains a description of the competition conditions,
equipment used, timing, venue, etc.
2) BBS intro - is an advertisement for BBS. Usually
small in size, with one way or another appearing
text and 1-2 effects, and sometimes music (often
Adlib's). They strive to shove it into the archives passing through
BBS.
3) Crack intro - intro written in honor of hacking
group/crackerom of something. One can practically say about it
same as about BBS intro4) intro - roughly speaking, a small demo. These are, for example, those
intros who participate in competitions. Formally

Trackmo (TRACKING deMO) - on PC/Amiga - demo or intro,
in which all action (i.e. image) is strictly tied to
music in such a way that it looks in one go. Music -
usually techno (it’s most convenient to synchronize). On Commodore b4
this is what they call demo, which does not require display during the process
human intervention (pressing spacebar to continue and
etc.)
Dentro (DEmo-INTRO) - demo preview. Issued for the purpose
arouse interest in the demo, which is not yet ready, but
expected. Sometimes it is just a set of pictures
(slideshow) with music and a list of effects that can be

Music Disk - a set of several melodies of the musician/s of the group,

Diskmag (Disk Magazine) - Electronic magazine. Different from
just a text file with the presence of music/graphics/any
video effects I.e. the appearance of the magazine is almost the same
important, as is its content.
Logo - A small graphic (smaller than the screen) representing
a symbol/emblem of something. Typically stylized
name of the team or project.
Compo (competition) - competition/contest/competition (see also
'Party')
Party is a gathering of people organized for some purpose.
For example, demo parties - for the purpose of viewing demos that

HQ/WHQ/RHQ/... (HeadQuarters, World HeadQuarters, Russian
HeadQuarters) - "Headquarters" (world/Russian/etc.) -

Distribution Site (dSite, DistSite) - BBS (ftp), on which
you can download all/latest releases of command(s) dSite,
