This year I went to DiHalt (demonstrating a new game from
Hippiman/Conscience - NOMAD ) and to the NedoPC autumn party. On
In it, Savelij13 demonstrated the MSXDOS2 version, as far as I understand,
with FAT16 support. I don’t have time to write releases myself. At my home
now there is no work area, and at work I am completely busy
writing research and development work with beautiful tables and pictures. I'm sitting
no vacation, I work on Saturday, I have already accumulated 26 days off. And
Hippiman himself is already his second baby :)
Work on the magazine is progressing slowly. Hippiman and I for now
loaded. Shaitan contacted me and showed some
interest in reviving the magazine. About half the number
There is material, but the main content is about the structure of the 3D engine
- not yet covered.
As part of this project, I wrote a 3D engine like Total Eclipse,
showed it at the NedoPC party. The rendering is sometimes glitchy, but
not fatal. There is no object converter yet, so you have to
type them into the code manually. No physics engine, no script
no either, so we can’t make the game yet. I read the documentation on
several scripting languages in different game systems, but for now
Not a single one was easy on the soul. We need to make our own.
For this and not only for this reason, I became closely involved
compiler of its own C-like language (under the working
called NedoLang) and assembler for it (underworkers
called NedoAsm). It is planned to compile both
this same compiler, which will allow you to build a live project
development environment directly on the Spectrum. And the main idea in
ensuring that the development environment is absolutely the same on the PC -
was compiled from the same sources, but not by my compiler, but
regular type gcc. For this purpose my language is made compatible with C -
to compile it with a C compiler you only need to declare
several defines. There was another idea - cross development environment
build based on Z80 emulation in web applications, but not yet
managed to get information about the speed of PHP, JavaScript and
Java for tasks of this kind. But anyway, now there is
tools for turning C into JavaScript.
The syntax of my language is constantly changing. Description of the current
versions - in the next article. In three months two
refactoring. The code has already become confusing, it's time to do the next one
refactoring :) The volume of the source code is now 316 KB (8000 lines).
This is my biggest C program. More precisely, initially he
was written in Delphi, and when it roughly worked, I translated it
in C++, then in C.
For now, it is impossible to compile programs in my language, because there is no
include and unloading the binary (the stream is unloaded instead
commands and a separate file - block sizes). This is due to the fact that
I haven’t yet come up with the requirements for the compiler’s system environment
on the Spectrum (essentiallyto the operating system). Anyway
In this case, you need to have more than 2 files open at the same time.
Basic instructions work, but will have to be tested more
very long.
I continue to collect materials on the history of the Spectrum. Interesting
memories about the Ryazan radio market were sent by Dmitry Devyatkin,
to whom I gave one of my old pentagons (the one on which
ZX-Guide magazine was made). Slash/AtD promised to remember something and
record it on a tape recorder, but there’s nothing yet. At the same time it turned out that
two assemblers at our factory were engaged in production
Spectrum in 1991 (boards were bought in Moscow). Apparently
we all knew one old radio amateur and a couple of salesmen on
market, and there was no other intersection between us in the 90s. More
I found Vyacheslav Mikheev online (my old friend is also from
90s, also a seller and coder), but it turned out that he was no longer
interested. Nikolai Medvedev (a hacker from a neighboring
home), but in 20 years he has forgotten everything, remembers only about
the monstrous game "Treasure Island". Sergei Chemodanov forgot everything too
(the user is already from my entrance, with whom we worked on animation),
and even my father. So history needs to be recorded until
late. For example, about the history of ZX-Net in St. Petersburg:

fkO> I have it on my node. I really haven't mailed for a year now
read
Alone_Coder> yes?who are the nodes and who are the points?
fkO> i 500:812/1.507
fkO> node - Larkov.
fkO> there are still some points there. Wlodek and Eugene Palenock
once they wrote to me a year ago
fkO> in general, it’s not that dead, rather, in the deep
pre-death suspended animation
Alone_Coder> is the founding date known?
Alone_Coder> and date of transition to FTN
Alone_Coder> and coordinator lists
fkO> the founding date is in the first news, like the whole story
grounds.
fkO> in brief
fkO> was in St. Petersburg Eldorado bbs and montezuma, it seems, bbs
fkO> on Maximus, on the PC, but with Vicomm modems.
deathsoft> fkO: montezuma - still working
deathsoft> node above me
fkO> I already forgot the name of the guy who came up with it as vicomm
PC connect.
fkO> it was there for money.
fkO> with crooked software in izdos
fkO> (1996)
Alone_Coder> who came up with wikimmes?
Alone_Coder> does the CDOS terminal have anything to do with the CDOS axis?
fkO> vikommy this is almost the 80s!
Alone_Coder> 80's??? where were you??
fkO> x.z. Who. Kondratyev told me that they are still with
Spectrums and software for isdos were used on cable
television for displaying paid advertisements. those. so that these
forward advertisements between studios
fkO> under isdos the show program was called.
Alone_Coder> and what terminals [under Dickie isdos]?
fkO> well, in general, at the end of 1996 MAS and alsodid anyone get a contract?
or they wanted it themselves, I don’t care. In general, we wrote the first version of MMD.
fkO> and started calling themselves using it (it’s a terminal, but
under trdos)
fkO> and then somehow I quickly wrote BBSЗ.xx and started doing
BBC on Spectrum.
fkO> stations in St. Petersburg immediately became too many. everyone opened their
bbs and everyone called each other
fkO> then XTR appeared, then the gate in Fido, somewhere closer to
1997
fkO> then I got tired of gluing echoes with pens and everything is based on the gate
gated to Fido (most likely to ftn) and back.
fkO> then there were a lot of stations in ftn (people started getting PCs).
at the same time we established (late 1997 or even earlier) contact with
Moscow, and with other cities actively
fkO> there were a lot of cities.
fkO> well, in 1999-2000-2001 everything began to actively fall apart.
fkO> and networks in other cities and pure communication stations (BBS)
began to disappear. in the end there was only FTN left to die with
minimum of the clearest nodes
Alone_Coder> were there haes in zkhnet?
fkO> Hayes were on the Spectrum only if you worked with FTN-zkhnet.
fkO> so I had both vicomm and haes
fkO> I hacked Melon so that it would call for mail and launch it
after MMD's call
fkO> as a result, I had a bbs working on MMDC.00, which is still
From time to time I called for FTN mail.
fkO> and then I bought it
fkO> under isdos there is a proprietary terminal, which is from Krassoft
was sold and is Xeniawritten by Kondratiev.
fkO> the first one is under vicomm, the second one is under haes.
fkO> there are also all sorts of crafts, like Kondratieff terminals
simple, I also wrote under Vikomm and Khaes.
Alone_Coder> what kind of modulation did you use in the wicoms? Manchester?
fkO> modulation in Vikomma - as if frequency, with a variable
the duration (exactly one signal period) of the bit interval. well
There are also tricks like pilot tone, etc.
Alone_Coder> were BBS only on BBSЗ.xx? where is this program
fuck?
Alone_Coder> Have you ever used the CDOS program in St. Petersburg?
fkO> tsdos in St. Petersburg saw (from E-mage). But it didn’t take root, because
how we had our own file transfer protocol, a little
incompatible, in MMD.
fkO> certainly beautifully done. And we had, from the popular,
MMD2.20, MMDЗ.15, MMDЧ.00.
fkO> the first one is just a terminal, good and debugged, with
modem driver. the latter is its development with a built-in language
programming (to make your own bbs)
deathsoft> fkO, and is Vicom a homemade modem of some kind?
deathsoft> like in ATM-turbo, there is a modem for DAC/ADC
was software
fkO> and BBS 3.15 is a remake exclusively for XTR programs
BBSЗ.08
fkO> this is, as it were, an exclusively BBS program for Vicomm
Alone_Coder> and who is the author of BBSZ.08?
fkO> everything mmd and bbs was originally written by mas.
Alone_Coder> he's cool
fkO> many hacked later. active - Vega (he didbbsZ.15,
then I lost the source code, I gave him mine and he completed it to 3.20)
deathsoft> Alone_Coder, why didn’t you write about modems in ATM1 and
in ATM2?
Alone_Coder> deathsoft: I have never seen these modems
Alone_Coder> I don’t know what kind of modems these are
fkO> I also tinkered with bbsz.15 and made it with a driver (it seems, not
I remember, but it worked with Vicomm)
fkO> version bbsZ.15, where the letters are a,b,c,d,e,f,gh,i,A,B.
Alone_Coder> did these programs only work in non-turbo?
fkO> then I also got modem drivers for Vicomm of different versions
done. incl. hacker ones that allow you to hack bbs and anything
mess up there (buffer overflow)
deathsoft> Alone_Coder, there is an ATM DAC and ADC on the board
deathsoft> and body kit for matching with a telephone line
Alone_Coder> DAC and ADC are not a modem
Alone_Coder> and the body kit is yes
deathsoft> look at the book on ATM
Alone_Coder> and what software for the atmodem?
deathsoft> there were even some programs there
fkO> the ability to work in turbo depended only on the driver
(except BBS, which could be without a driver)
fkO> then the drivers learned to turn off the turbo (on Scorpios), and
on ATM it seems not
fkO> and the XTR modem didn’t care about the turbo, it’s like its own, like
there was a timer
deathsoft> atm turbo does not turn off
deathsoft> because it switches there with a switch
deathsoft> and on scorpion - programmaticallydeathsoft> reading from port 7FFD
deathsoft> and 1FFD
Alone_Coder> deathsoft: on atm2 programmatically
Alone_Coder> what could the terminal do except chat and
download files?
fkO> Vicomm is, in the original, just a matching circuit
Spectrum tape input with telephone line!
fkO> then MAS came up with a “gadget” with relyushki so that it
identified calls and skillfully picked up the handset and dialed a number
(via bit 5 keyboard port)
fkO> I made my first Wikomm from a Chinese telephone
device by soldering the microphone and earphone to the tape-in/tape-out
fkO> and got through for the first time in my life on Kiril’s KIR-BBS
Chubenko.
fkO> But they didn’t let me in there without a password.
deathsoft> i.e. like recording on a tape recorder only with a long
cord?
deathsoft> at one end SAVE "ZZZ"
deathsoft> and on the other LOAD ""
deathsoft> so what?
fkO> Then I called Timofey Lapo the next day.
fkO> He told me how, gave me a point and taught me how to break BBS
by issuing the BASIC command SAVE "z" CODE 16484, 9999
fkO> (vicomm took such a parcel for a super long package,
the buffer overflowed and the bbs hung itself)
Alone_Coder> wow, that is, modulation is like in the programming procedures
deathsoft> hard
fkO> I later figured out why it hangs and made a driver for
hacking bbs on the fly. press the "break" button and download what you want,
any files.deathsoft> exploit on Spectrum!!!
deathsoft> with buffer overflow
Alone_Coder> where can you find all this software now?
Alone_Coder> why hasn’t anyone written about this before)
Alone_Coder> this is a detective novel)
deathsoft> apparently was no longer relevant
fkO> ALL software is (was) on Igor Gruzdev’s Dragon BBS.
fkO> I have almost everything, maybe something got lost.
Alone_Coder> plz post it
deathsoft> I was already on the BBC PC during these years
fkO> I largely dragged the archive onto the PC when I bought the PC
fkO> I have everything laid out:
deathsoft> I got a modem on PC in 1995
Alone_Coder> for me in 2001
deathsoft> and in 98 there was already a 56k modem
fkO> http://pc.fkO.pp.ru/pub/zx
fkO> well, not everything. but 99%.
fkO> although not. not all that much.
deathsoft> by the way, I loaded 2 Spectrums using save/load
deathsoft> did save on one, load on the other
fkO> there are not many antiquities. they were at the time when I bought the PC,
seemed irrelevant (the same BBS and its sources are still
lie on real 5.25" disks!)
deathsoft> so copy the image into the trd
fkO> and mmd 4.00 no
fkO> I bought it from Mas for as much as 20 and its 20,000 rubles
fkO> and promised not to give it away to anyone for free.
Alone_Coder> how to download it all in one fell swoop?
fkO> this is a very rare case when I bought software
Alone_Coder> you are still my wolfbought
fkO> dada. I also bought a black raven and all the UFOs are from me
licensed.
fkO> wget -r -np -k -x http://pc.fkO.pp.ru/pub/zx ?
Alone_Coder> The file you are trying to request is not
publicly accessible.
fkO> isdos? This is an image of my screw with isdos. there are personal ones
data
Alone_Coder> texts
deathsoft> I bought a lot of floppies at a flea market
fkO> well, the pirates sold floppy disks.
deathsoft> but there the price was practically for a floppy disk
deathsoft> yes
deathsoft> these are the only ones I bought
deathsoft> and cassettes too
fkO> oh. I'll fix the resolution now.
deathsoft> fkO, by the way, I noticed you have a patch for gts for
z80
deathsoft> have you tried using it?
deathsoft> I also found it on the Internet - but never
tried it
fkO> patch niasilel. I need to find the exact version
deathsoft> so it is in CVS
deathsoft> all the versions of the sorce are there
Alone_Coder> about zkhnet you need to write a bunch of articles in speckiwiki
fkO> http://pc.fkO.pp.ru/pub/zx/frunze/Dragon%2OBBS/
fkO> by the way, here ^^^ is a clear source of information on the spec
Alone_Coder> what is *.zxl?
fkO> by the way, Dark Dragon BBS is still (sort of) working
fkO> zxl - text file
fkO> zxl - list of maximus bbs files on zx-spectrum topics
fkO> there he also has a LOT of books and semi-axial software
fkO> on Dark Dragon BBS.──────────────────────────────── ────────────────────────────────
Louisa/Conscience photographed my papers back to 1990
year. The earliest ones are mostly drawings. But there's more left
several notebooks. What has already been photographed, I
sorted by year and sent it to interested parties at the party
NedoPC. It turned out that almost no one would use such old documents
keeps, but it's a pity.
In the spring-summer, John Silver wrote half of two new AY Mouzons
- I haven’t written for 8 years before this! In the fall, John broke his leg while jumping
with a parachute, now he sits at home, but he no longer has music
it turns out. But he found a bunch of video tutorials on writing
technical tracks that are placed under advertising.
Mr. Event (he now lives in Vladimir) also wanted to do
writing music, but haven't written anything yet. But Nikphe cannot be found
succeeded, neither on my part nor on Event's part.
AmoNik (Nikolai Amosov) writes that he is recovering data from
your hard drive in the iS-DOS system.
Due to the closure of the DNA OS website, I moved all the materials from there
to your website. The author of DNA OS - ZET-9 (Dmitry Avryata) -
disappeared without a trace. This operating system (and it is open source)
source code) still has a chance for development. I've been working for a long time
below it on the Pentagon and ATM. True, ATM and Pro have already appeared
serious systems MSXDOS2 and PQ-DOS (see separate article). Among
materials from the DNA OS website there is also a Pentagon versionsystems
UZIX - under the name "SUZI". But I'm not sure that under this
you can work with the system - you still need the ability to select
more than 64K for the task. The same applies to SymbOS, although there is a structure
even more interesting.
On the website habrahabr.ru I found another of my doubles, AloneCoder :)
I turned 35 years old, Dasha is 1 year old. They gave me a 2 TB screw,
pocket chess and a backpack with a sleeping bag. This is how we live :)
