“Whoever wants can kiss me everywhere...” (c) DJ Psych/Psycho Day two Arriving at Cooler, I found him typing in the names of the winners first day compo for diplomas. After a while Igor came up Lobanchikov. The boxes were loaded, we called a taxi and went to the club (“Under the Soviets, there was also some kind of tavern there” - that’s what he told us taxi driver). Along the way we remembered that we don’t have a 5.25 flop guide, They were scared, but, as it turned out later, there was no need to be afraid. The club greeted us, as the day before, with the absence of a DJ (this time not through his fault) and, clear pepper, electricity. Only the presence of a socket in the wardrobe detected a young friend of Psycho Team, as well as an easy-going Hammer Amiga 1200 saved us and DJ Freax from copying his MP3s right during the compo. It was not possible to accept Specov's work at 9:00, As planned, electricity was supplied at 9:45. It turned out that all (!!!) votelists were forgotten, but they, to Luckily, Cooler’s mom gave me a ride (many thanks to her for her help and fearlessness in the process of giving humanity to this whole madhouse species). Paul Pavlov came and brought some of the Spectrum works, as well as flop 5.25, covered in beer and sticky. At the same time he forgot everything job descriptions and ESS sound system at home (Z8OStealth emulator does not work with Vortex and Gravis Ultrasound, which were installed in cooler computer). It's lucky that I'm a fan of ESSb88 and for four yearOwning a PC never replaced this card with anything else. True, my computer again decided to fail in front of the compo (it turned out that a wire got into the cooler and it stopped). While the MP3 compo was running (sound, at least in some part hall, was clearly better that day, although not without an “overdose” bass), Paul Pavlov and I sorted out Spekov’s works, simultaneously missing the EA music “Especially For All” (about him remembered at the end of the component and started in the last position). As it turned out later, another one was lost on Cooler’s broom picture, 512b intro and toy (all for Speck). Toy on time found, the rest of the works were not so lucky... There was no real Spectrum this time either. The graphics were looked at my SpecView SE for Win9x, everything else is in the Z80 Stealth. Very AY Music Compo went well – dissatisfied (like “it got better” you with three-channel tweeters") simply did not exist. Success in the hall caused Freeman's composition “Karkusha” - another mix on the theme program “Good night, kids” (though after counting For some reason she did not receive the votes for the prize). Moreover overdose of low frequencies had a positive effect on AY music (at home I didn’t get a buzz from Karkusha). Mast was represented by two short humorous sketches “Missing Of Israel” and “Israel is My Sweet Home”, made in his typical style. Took first place (according to preliminary results) Midnight/Ellipsewith his “Battle of Goro and Johnny Cage” (for me personally it is unclear why). The eternally sad Equator was also presented, and Ivan Roshin, and other ppl (and some names were NEW). Demos and intros on the spec are nothing special, imho, not represented. There were two toys - Technodrom ME (yes, ME is Millennium Edition) from Real Software and ZDroost from Fenomen. Previous Versions of these toys have probably been seen by everyone, so spread the word It’s not particularly worth it either. After completing the comp, DJ Psych asked me to type “Woolf Suxx" in the BASIC 128 editor, which is what I did, albeit a little differently to his own (“woolf rulezzzzzzzzzz…”), which caused shouts of approval not only Wolf. Then there were leftovers from the PC compos (two good toys in Game Compo), which did not work on K6-2+ intra Fusion (they launched it for me - so I knew, Cyrix rulez, no matter what they say about him inhibition). Next - complete confusion with vote counting (how in general something can be considered when “kiss me everywhere” hits your ears and time is running out, even taking into account what was possible agree on one more extra hour), crumpled rewarding and hasty winding down, coupled with packing of people and equipment into DJ Freax's car. When stretching the equipment to homes, one funny thing happened - Cooler's hut some children came up to us and, according to them, could understand where we got “so many computers.” clear stump, whatFreax decided to make a joke and say that we stole them. “You can’t steal,” answered one little girl. "This is you Mom taught me that way...” Freax objected.
