     Friends!

You all know me as the coordinator of an international network 
ZXNet. The time has come to me self-destruct.


Since the inception of the network in February 1995, I was 
asked: 

- Connect users ZX-Spectrum of Moscow through the INTERNET and
FIDO; This I carried out for two months.

- The network has grown to an international level and laid on me
responsibility to maintain international traffic (who was so
debugged to automaticity) All currently running.

I believe that fulfilled everything I must choose I
Sysops ZXNet:

- Any spektrumist has free Internet access and FIDO. AND
it works really, and self-regulating.

- Freebie has been and will be!

And it's time to pass the network to other hands. At this point,
the only person who can pass ZXNet without prejudice
the quality of communication, is the coordinator ZXNet Belarus -
Arseny Astapenko (017 / 1) - only for the moment
man who can "pull" the entire ZXNet.

All of the above, does not mean that the traffic and the 
network abandoned. Almost like walking, so it will go! The only 
thing that I would like to draw your attention to:


Single international mailing address is: zxnet@iname.com - it
pereadresovochny address valid to the discretion of the 
coordinator. 

As always, it is used in case of problems send mail between
regions.

Address Zxnet@deol.ru will run another 2 months, after which
will be eliminated.

All existing WEB-pages + ZXNet remain valid even
there will be new.

  I did not think that someday I will be interviewing Alexis,
using in the past tense verbs ...

  We met up with Alex at home. It was in-general, still morning,
the next room were still asleep, so Alex said softly, and
recording turned desperately poor, but for some reason
ambient noise grew to giant size. Listening
then make a recording, I could clearly make out the noise of
Fan "Pentium", the screen is in the morning, just
probably, like all other days, as usual spinning Earth
bead with the letter "e" ...



WB: Hey, Alex! I know the reasons that prompted you to leave
the post of Regional Coordinator, strictly personal, so I do not
I will deal with this issue. Let's talk about the traversed 
path. How it all began?


AI: But this much has been written.

AI: call to the station was rather difficult. Gradually
users know each other, and once it was suggested
organize a network. Gathered, as we would have just said, the 
Council network, where I was elected co-ordinator. I was asked 
to organize Output spektrumistov Internet and Fido, and as soon 
as time.


WB: Who was with you then hand in hand? Who would you now like
remember the good word?

AI: Doctors Longman (Dr. Longman). He is still sometimes
reminds of itself.

WB: Yes, X-RAY, we read with pleasure.

Now everything is working, driven to automatism. 

WB: How do you see the future of the network?

AI: It seems that we will gradually move to Hayes-s. They
cheaper, and the software is. But CDOS-Naya network is still 
held. 

WB: Cheap Hayes - until the first failure.

AI: Well, the garbage then ... I already gave the announcement 
of the buy- illiquid this technique. You can simply change the 
modem. 

WB: Soon as I understood the principle of addressing changes in 
ZXNet. What does "500", which you finished the old address?


AI: 500 - non-existent zone in Fido. In fidoshnyh programs
necessarily need to specify the zone number, 500 - it is like a 
zone ZXNet. Your web address will 500:095 / 462. But as long as 
possible write as usual.


WB: I then prepared a letter, Arseny ...

AI: And you do not want him to communicate directly through the 
"clave"? 



  ... This is so humdrum and simply talked. I made a mistake,
tuned to the past tense of verbs. Network established and
Alex raised to work. Here are just a capital move it
in Minsk. It just seems that it is far away. Touching
keyboard, you can imagine that at the same moment you feel

response. Alex was not mistaken - Arseny in those moments really

the revival of the Union of fraternal peoples. And we 
spektrumisty, already united. Alex merit in this is obvious and 
undeniable. Great and inherited a good Arseny. Let's all wish 
him success and just ordinary good luck!


  And ... Alex sort of nowhere and is gone. He is with us, but

sadness from this no-no, and stir the soul ... Thank you, Alex,

for all that you did, just thanks for everything! And stay with
us, among us, or we stay with you even do not know how
