   The festival of computer art "Hardwave demoshow2002"



   1. Date, time, place, etc. ...

   Date Hardwave demoshow - May 18, 2002.

   Venue - Moscow Regional Pedagogical
College, Serpukhov, st. Firsov d.5.

   Entrance fee - about $ 2 (for girls - free).

   Platform: PC, ZX Spectrum.



   2. General Provisions

   ------------------+

   Rules of conduct required from all
Visitors:


   - Smoking is allowed only in designated areas.

   - It is undesirable to bring to the festival food and drink.

   - Do not litter.

   - Do not be at the festival in a state of intoxication,

   bring and drink alcohol.

   - Access to technology is possible only with the permission 
and under supervision of the organizers.



   - All participants must pre-register,
completing the questionnaire.

   (This paragraph is mandatory)



   3. Competition works

   --------------------+

   - All work must be delivered to the organizing committee no 
later than than 5 days before the party.


   It is desirable to pass the work in advance to check on their
computers organizers.

   (This point is not so much to the organizers, also to the
authors of the works)


   Works can be deposited in the following ways:


   * By e-mail, the address given below.


   * According to ftp to the address below.


   * Ordinary Mail


   * The floppy, HDD or CD in person at the hands of the 
organizers. 


   Commissioning work on the day of the festival is allowed 
only in exceptionally and not later than two hours before

beginning of the festival (we recall that most of the work will 
not be taken on the day of the festival).



   - Preferably the presence of the author's work or his 
representative. One person can not represent the work of 
different groups or authors, not included in one group. Works 
that do not have a representative, may also participate in the 
contest, but they do not participate in the distribution of 
prizes. 


   - PC intro and demo must work correctly in DOS-window
Windows'95, exit by pressing Esc and after
set time.



   4. Contests

   General requirements:

   - Celeron-633, 128Mb RAM (550Kb low mem), DOS-Win95 window or

   Win16/Win32,

   Creative SB Live / Aureal Vortex2/General MIDI.

   - Do not "pure" animation.

   - Maximum 2 works of the author (for each contest).

   - All work must work correctly in DOS-window and Windows95

   terminated by pressing Esc.

   - After this time the work will be interrupted.


   4K intro:

   - Maximum 3 minutes.

   - There will be shown no more than 10 works.


   64K intro:

   - Maximum 5 minutes.

   - Overall size intro not more than 65536 bytes.

   - There will be shown no more than 10 works.


   MegaDemo:

   - A maximum of 10 minutes.

   - Size of archive (zip, rar) from the demo is not more than 
10Mb.

   General requirements:

   - ZS Scorpion 256 / Kay256/Ay/TR-DOS 5.04;

   - After this time the work program should
be completed;

   - All works must be in TR-DOS without protection;

   - Accepted the work in the format of SCL, TRD, hobeta;

   - Crush of work in conventional TR-DOS disks;


   4K intro:

   - Simple Basic loader + code block 4096 bytes maximum.

   - Maximum 3 minutes. Total will be shown no more than 10 
works. 


   640K demo:

   - Maximum size - 1 TR-DOS disk.

   - A maximum of 10 minutes.


   Hand-drawn graphics:

   - 1 artwork from the author.

   - Total no more than 30 works.

   - Do not transferred to other platforms or
scanning schedule.

   - Standard screen is 6912 bytes.


   Games (ZX Spectrum Game compo)


   General requirements:

   - All work must either work in demo mode
or

   demonstrated by the authors or their representatives.

   - The game should take no more than 1 disk.

   - Automatically terminate nepozdnee than 5 minutes
after launch.


   Muzykalngogo competition for the ZX will not.

   General requirements:

   - Trekernye composition must be correctly played back
player WinAMP v?.?


   Tracker music:

   - 4-channel music (standard ProTracker MOD):

   - Maximum 3 minutes.,

   - File size - no more than 1Mb,

   - A maximum of 2 works by the author.

   - Total will be shown no more than 15 works.


   - Multichannel Music (S3M, IT, XM):

   - A maximum of 4 min.,

   - File size no more than 4Mb.

   - 1 artwork from the author.

   - Total will be shown no more than 15 works.

   - Not allowed to use the bagged samples.


   MP3 Music Compo:

   - Maximum 4 minutes.

   - Preferably VBR.

   - 1 artwork from the author.



   - - - -= Graphics (PC) =- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -


   General requirements:

   - The maximum size of 800x600 pixels

   - Not allowed to crawl.

   - To confirm the origin of art, authors should
provide for Hand-drawn graphics - 1-2 intermediate phase
for others - the source files (with the volume> 8MB-to bring a
(CD, HDD)) is desirable-PSD, MAX, CDR.

   - There shall be no mention of the author (logos, etc.)

   - All graphic works will be shown twice

   - Maximum 2 works of the author (for each contest).

   - Works with obscene content will not be displayed.

   - It is desirable the availability of options for dealing 
with the logo of the author for distribution.


   - Total will be shown no more than 20 works.

   - File format - TIFF, JPEG.



   5. Determination of Winners

   --------------------------+

   Winners in each competition are determined by results
vote of visitors, who can assess each of the works
on a 10-point scale or to refrain from evaluation. Final
performance evaluation is computed as a truncated mean (ie, rare
found estimates will not be counted).

   In the case of a large number of visitors is not guaranteed 
account All evaluation sheets, but will be considered at least 
half, and guaranteed them a random selection.




   6. Prizes

   --------+

   Supposed to award the winners of a large part
competition prizes.

   Expected prize pool - ???$.

   Winners of other competitions and prize winners will receive
incentive prizes (CD, T-shirts with the logo etc.) All the 
winners receive official ratification.



   Notes:

   - Do not awarded the work, finished last in its
competition.

   - The allocation of valuable prizes of work that nobody
is being ignored. Prizes and certificates by mail is
sent.
