Interview - intimate conversation with the author of one of the most popular games: the quest "Homer Simpson in Russia."

   Simpson knows all ... In addition to the editor
"ZX-News", who discovered this little family just because the 
game "Homer Simpson in Russia. ":) and created this creation in 
an unusual genre for Spectrum Quest Renat Mamedov / Mr. Gluk - 
with him we were contacted by Fido to interview him, besides, 
is not simple, as is normal. :) I mean, that the conversation 
we have conducted not on "two beer or not two beer ", in the 
tradition of our colleagues from other publications Spectrum and

that the most interesting: how to translate on the Spectrum 
"Homer Simpson". 


    And now ... Yes, by the way! We would like to inform that 
the interview was taken at long intervals (Fido, as they say,

ZXN: From the author's description of the game knows that 
you've decided to create a "Homer Simpson in Russia, has been 
impressed by demo versions of "Paradise Lost". But why is your

choice was just one of the characters in "The Simpsons"?


   Mr.Gluk: I do not smoke and do not plan to sniff cocaine, 
and therefore under the impression from anything I do not go. 
:) Do not we have waited for the notorious "Paradise", a good 
idea, even more so, that nothing like this has been established.



   Originally the game was conceived of Zhirinovsky in the 
Duma. :) Then I got scared and changed the character and 
essence of the game. Now I do believe that the Spectrum - not 
for politics. Well it is the same as if philatelists

fought on the grounds of political opinion.
I beg your pardon, ofigel when I read
in the "Adventurer" # 09 pro game, where you have to soak the 
Communists ... All this somehow gone ... Digress. :) Why Homer? 
Difficult say ... :) Our local channel rebroadcasts Ren-TV, and 
those known to be tied with XX FOX TV ... The latter owns the 
rights on "The Simpsons" and somewhere three years I have 
enjoyed this series. Now show stopped, so that the third 
"Homer" will not. :) A very non-traditional episode, I liked 
the humor. Multi-level humor. Social parody. In depth - in part

at the level of "pilots" Tatar. But about them
the game will not write - sue. :) By the way,
most show a lot of politics. For example, in
series of blue (!) in the final show

ZXN: What is the history of creation of the script?


   Mr.Gluk: layered my way of thinking.

the writing engine. In this sense, "Homer-1" was simple 
breakdown of the engine. 

ZXN: By the way, why are games so sad

   Mr.Gluk: The first time I've heard that the final

   Mr.Gluk: It's time to break away from this approach. What 
people need - show ratings. In my opinion, we should develop 
something that there is a demand. I mean quality games. Those

same real-time strategy. And although I personally do not
trudge from the "CV" (just do not play games for a long 
time:)), but since people like to - go ahead. But in general we 
must try. There are lots of untapped genres. By the way, that 
"Homer" - arcade adventure, I learned from your newspaper. :)


ZXN: How to say "Inforkom" Spectrum is good for running in new 
ideas, because that it can be implemented with minimal manpower 
and resources ... Well, as to what genre attributed to "Homer" 
you? :) 


   Mr.Gluk: Absolutely not know. From the
articles about the game I learned many new
words. :) In the local community, "Homer" was described as 
"Dizzy, but from above." :) By the way, yesterday on the 
program found that on Ren-TV, The Simpsons go again, and our 
wacky relay will not cover them. =) 

ZXN: Yes, really, words in the article a bit too much ... ;-)

terminology is somewhat reduced. (For example, your creation, 
we now simply called them quest, such as classical. ;-)) But 
back to the game. "Homer Simpson in Russia" to decorate,

of course, any collection of Spectrum
games. Interestingly, while some have come from collectors 
player feedback? 


   Mr.Gluk: Basically there were positive reviews, but all the 
authors of some problems ... Those who have everything is 
normal - write, apparently, do not bother. :)
