BBS on ZX - the version of terminal software Macro Modem. Will soon open a new network - Omega Net.

         BBS for ZX - it is real!

  In Peter has left almost no people who have doubted the 
ability to work bbs based on the Zx-Spectrum. And if you can

do bbs, so it means they can be networked together to ensure 
exchange of information between users of different stations. 


  All the prerequisites for this have already been created. On
99% of the new terminal is ready to program -
"Macro-Modem" v2.1, which has a number of changes from version 
2.00 (demo) and 2.03 (beta). First published in the annex to 
the ZF 4.5, while the second was issued beta testers to find 
bugs, so that they quite successfully. It was found

about 15 bugs and glyuchkov, and added several new features, 
completely changed the team that, unfortunately, leads to 
incompatibility between versions 2.1 and 2.03. Finish work on a 
version of "MMD" for servers that will be fixed numbers of 3.01 
and above. 


  Version 3.01 is designed to work bbs
and will be sold only to future sysops, because it is designed 
to "to think" people, not user'ov, ie there will not, as they 
say, 100% protection against user'a, as unnecessary, at least 
at first (up to version 3.1, which, perhaps, will appear 
later). 


  Anyone wishing to host an bbs, a member of the new network 
may contact us to discuss the details.



  First, over what is already possible to start to think, 
because it is over the name of the network. Yet reviewed the 
working title - OmegaNet, but as you know, it's not an option, 
because it's so called network of would-be just arrogance on 
our part ... :) 


  If anyone has suggestions on the name, can they make the pages
ZxNews.


  But the final decision on this and
other issues will be taken at the General
Meeting sysops, to be held
somewhere for a week before the opening of the network.


  Meeting tentatively scheduled for
Sunday, November 10, 1996. Accordingly, the network will be 
operational from Monday, 18th November. These dates are not set 
for the program / hardware, as pure of institutional 
considerations, such as: 

 - Until it comes up all the information
 - Yet to reach all
 - Until all the swing
 - Until all organized
 - Until then, yes se
 - Etc.

              Agenda:

 - Discussion of the draft statute of the network being 
developed by the Arno, and which will be released soon in the

assistants.

 - Discussion ZxNews, such as newspapers, which
will be the main link with OmegaNet

gateways with Fido and the Internet.

come to mind ...


  What you need to become a sysop
stations in OmegaNet:

 - Willingness and patience.

 - Scorpion ZS 256, because the server
program is designed specifically for this computer, at least, 
version 3.01. 

 - It is necessary to collect pribambas, which will be
lift up your Vicomm'a. Scheme
will be the 11th Newskah, and those who do not
can do, can apply to us. For
small amount (you know: time -
money ... :) We'll all set.

 - Find a 29.99 thousand rubles and pay for
the server program to the authors, because the forces
had a lot spent on it, and it would be
at least partially offset the costs. If you
want my money back, you can
then make your bbs and paid rent to
user'ov, say, a thousand a month. But here
the other is the question - will have in this
case to provide a cool service at the station, otherwise no one 
will call. Under "Cool service" refers to new programs, or 
access to high paid, or good communication quality, or the 
gateway to Fido ... Well, something like that.

  And now - finally ... Applications for "MMD"
