   Actually, I did not think to insert this article in the 
newspaper. This file can be found in the conferences, which are 
on the ALEX BBS. But I I see them downloading not many, but in 
vain. I just have to SisOpnike many people asked how can Mouzon 
and pictures from one person can demonstrate to ENLIGHT'e. 
That's why I and decided to include this text in this number. 
Here you will find the answers all your questions, and not only 
on the Spectrum. 


   P.S. And it seems from Moscow ENLIGHT'97 go a lot of people. 
AND this is correct!

General rules for all contests on all platforms:
================================================== ==

1. Work, the release date earlier than that on Aug. 26, 1996 is 
not 

   allowed to participate in contests.

2. To move to another part of the demo (intro) should not 
require keystrokes (except the configuration of audio / video 
beginning). 

3. In Demo (intro) compo banned pure animation: You can use 
animations as part of the demo, but the demo should not consist 
only the animation. 

4. On the Graphics compo prohibited scanned or transferred from
other platforms work.

5. Must be present at least one representative from
team representing something for the contest.

6. File names must conform to ISO-9660 (ie, acceptable
only the characters "AZ" and "0-9" and the maximum length - 8 
+3). This necessary to avoid difficulties under MSDOS.


7. Reception / registration papers to the contests stopped for 
1 hour before beginning of the relevant competition. 
Registration papers for all Music compo stops on the first day 
(the exact time specified in the schedule). 


I. Rules of the competition on the PC.
======================================

* Minimum configuration

(Work submitted for competition must operate in this 
configuration): 

486DX, 4MB, SVGA 1MB, No Sound

* Compo PC
(Minimum configuration of the machine which will be held
competitions):

P5-100/8MB/SVGA 2MB
Sound Blaster (Pro) 2.0 and Gravis UltraSound 1MB.
MSDOS. To choose from: QEMM / HIMEM / Clean boot


* Contests

8k Intro compo (PC)
------------------
Maximum size - 8k.
The maximum time a demonstration - 5 minutes.
VGA only register-compatible mode. _not_ SVGA!
Preferred exit to DOS by pressing ESC.

64k Intro compo (PC)
-------------------
Maximum size - 64k.
The maximum time a demonstration - 10 minutes.
VGA and SVGA VESA (UniVBE 5.3) regimes. Resolution no higher 
than 640x480. Required exit to DOS by pressing ESC.



Demo compo (PC)
--------------
The maximum size of 4MB
The maximum time a demonstration - 15 minutes (the demo itself 
may be longer). VGA and SVGA VESA (UniVBE 5.3) regimes. 
Resolution no higher than 640x480. Required exit to DOS by 
pressing ESC. 


Music compo (PC, AMIGA)
----------------------
Formats -. XM,. S3M,. MOD,. IT.
Maximum size - 1MB.
The maximum time plays - 3 minutes.
Max. 1 work of one author.

Upon completion of melody it should be silent and not move to 
the top. 

To listen to will be used Gravis UltraSound 1MB and
Cubic Player (by special request of authors may play
on the Commodore Amiga)


Graphics compo (PC, AMIGA, etc.)
------------------------------
Raytraced / rendered work PROHIBITED.
Formats: JPG, GIF, PCX, PNG.
The maximum resolution - 640x480
The maximum number of colors - 16.7mln.
To view would be used QPV.
Max. 3 works from the band / artist


Raytracing compo (PC, AMIGA, etc.)
--------------------------------
Raytraced / rendered work Permit.
Formats: JPG, GIF, PCX, PNG.
The maximum resolution - 640x480
The maximum number of colors - 16.7mln.

Max. 2 works from the band / artist


Real-time coders compo (PC)
--------------------------
Writing a program for severely limited period of time (several 
hours). Job not known in advance and will be announced 
immediately prior to the contest. At the time of the contest at 
the disposal of the participants provided computers and a 
minimum set of software and documentation of the assignment. 
Use your own pieces on any media (disks, paper, etc) is 
strictly prohibited. In the event that the number of 
participants exceeds the capabilities of the organizing 
committee, the priority will be those who have announced their 
participation since the start of the first party.

III. Rules of the competitions for the ZX Spectrum.
=================================================

* Minimum configuration

(Work submitted for competition must operate in this 
configuration): 

Pentagon 128 (3.5Mnz, 128K, TR-DOS 5.03/5.04T, AY-3-8910/12,
5'25 DS / DD FDD).


Graphics compo (ZX)
------------------
At this compo taken pictures in a standard format
Spectrum'ovskogo screen 16384, 6912 bytes.

Maximum number of works by one author - 3


Music compo (ZX)
---------------
At this compo taken music to a coprocessor AY-3-8910/12.
Music can be either on interrupt, and digital.

Accepted in the format editor (Sound Tracker, ASM, pro
Tracker), if you use another editor, it brings him and
compiler with itself.

The maximum time plays - 3 minutes

Max. 1 work of one author.


Demo compo (ZX)
--------------
The maximum time a demonstration - 10 minutes.

Maximum size - a standard TR-DOS disk DS / DD, (2544 sector = 
651264 bytes) 

Note:

If you use a shallow addressing port # 7FFD, ie command OUT (# 
FD), A, before you install OUT'om 6'oy bit register as a "1".

Entries will be screened with a preliminary announcement of the 
serial number. 

The winner of each competition is determined by results
vote of those present at the party.

Please pay attention to all potential participants - PLEASE do 
not Remember to put in the archives file_id.diz called work

handle'om (or name) of the author and the group (or 
independent) from which this work is presented. It is customary 
to record the authorship of the form: Handle / Group (ie, name, 
and then group by slash).


+> The readme.txt should be given the memory requirements,
qemm / himem and other information necessary for the 
demonstration. 

The organizing committee is under no obligation to provide 
housing for the time party. 

If you need to travel with some equipment (computers etc), 
please, if possible inform in advance. At the party you are 
will be allocated a place, rosettes, and to render all possible 
assistance in a connection.
