ZX-Net in Yoshkap-Ola
ZXNet echo conference «zx.spectrum»
From Roman Petrov → To All 18 September 1997
Hello! Dear All!
In general, some of us here were bitten by some fly in some place. We fell ill with the idea of remodeling the Yoshkar-Olinsky spectrists. We decided not to invent a bicycle, but to simply connect our spectrists to FIDO. Everything was absolutely no problem if all the Spectrum players had pussies, but since
of the more or less progressive Spectrum players it seems like I’m the only one who has a pussyuk, the most important problem arose - connecting a Hayes-compatible modem to the Spectrum. The second problem, no less important, is software. To begin with, at least the terminal, I don’t stutter at all about the mailer, tosser and reader,
although the reader already exists in principle - ZED. Well, okay, at the very least, we can write a terminal, but here’s how to connect the modem itself, and how to control it...
This is the most difficult place.
Therefore, I ask the almighty and all-knowing Olla not to let our spectrumists die from information hunger and lack of software. Please share information
on connecting the modem, about how to manage it. And here's another thing: I heard about a certain XTR-Modem. Is it possible to be more detailed? Maybe it’s Hayes-compatible, then
there will be fewer problems, you won’t have to deal with the PC modem.
I really hope for your answer.
With respect, Roman.

Thank you to one good person who advised me to contact another
good person about the modem.
And now I’m actually writing about the software: I heard that Spectrum
has an unpacker for written zip archives. Please send it to me, maybe in the echo. It would be better, of course, the source codes (there is a desire to add auto-support
hobets), but they are only soap!
With respect, Roman.
