Hello, all
tell me, is the fidosh editor for zx spectrum a hack? Can't we get him here? The thing is that for some reason I completely lost the echo
zx.spectrum,
and I really want to share it with the Sinclairists.
----------------------------
> Main features of ZED
│ Fully functional mail editor that supports
all the traditional functions of FTN editors:
- fast viewing a list of letters and quickly switching
echo areas;
- all possible types of responses to a message;
- quoting and header templates;
- viewing kludges;
- recording a message and inserting text, editing
and deleting an already recorded message;
- color highlighting of sections of a letter;
- viewing messages up to 16-20 kilobytes in size;
- automatic text formatting when entering and
viewing with saving quoting and color
highlights;
│ Tosser, which allows you to keep the mail database in the form of
source .PKT files, which allows you to savedisk
space. A standard disk contains an average
of 200-400 letters, which is quite acceptable for daily
traffic.
│ Sorting by date of writing and linking letters by
subject within the echo area.
│ Memorizing the index of the last read letter
for each echo areas.
│ Output local messages are received immediately in the form
of standard, ready-to-send .PKT files.
│ Support for up to four bosses - uplinks, with
automatic routing of response messages through
the appropriate address.
│ Personal echo area where links to
messages addressed to you are copied. The response from this area
automatically falls into the desired echo area.
│ Configurable list of echo areas.
│ Ability to automatically delete read .PKT
files.
│ UUEncoder, which automatically splits the encoded file into
blocks of 100 lines and places it directly to
the selected echo area as a ready-to-send .PKT
file. Possibility of automatic conversion to a file
of HOBETA format during the encoding process.
│ UUDecoder, which allows you to automatically extract
encoded blocks from the mail database. Automatically
HOBETA format files are recognized and written in
ready-to-use TR-DOS format.
│ Address book.
│ Customization of colors, templates, everythingthe rest.
│ In addition - a full set of ASCII characters, three keyboard modes, windowed interface, 64x25 text mode.
> Hardware requirements
│ ZX Spectrum compatible computer. ZED has been tested on all
specs available to me and on all emulators.
│ 48 kilobytes of RAM. No more - ZED
uses only 48 kilobytes.
│ At least one TR-DOS drive. It’s better if there are two, or
a hard drive with two TR-DOS partitions, but you can completely
live on one drive.

Goodbye.
