═════ Hello, Evgeny! ═══════════ Glad to see you! ═════════════
They once said:
EM> [.....]
First of all, you “wisely” left out a clear question addressed to you. I repeat: “What prevented you, a professional, from releasing the central Spectrum magazine.” In light of the subject, I’ll add: “What stopped you, a professional, from releasing a game of the class of
Star Heritage?” Will you finally answer?
EM>>> It _NO_IMPORTANT_ to me what kind of person does it! Even if
EM>>> the legendary Vasya Pupkin, the main thing is that this business does not perish.
YM>> What pathos! My God... You essentially spat in the face of all authors
YM>> with these words...
EM> Do you already associate yourself with “all authors”? ;)
I associate myself with the ZH project.
EM> Spectrum. -*--*--*--*--*--*--*--*--*--*--*--*--*--*--*--*--*--*--*--*--*-
EM> -*--*--*--*--*-- 2ALL: It is very important to you whether, for example, he will do _good_
EM> DUNE-2 Vasya from N-ska, or Petya from M-ska
EM>? -*--*--*--*--*--*--*--*--*--*--*--*--*--*--*--*--*--*--*--*--*--*--*--*-
All people are different and it’s not a fact that some Vasya will turn out a _good_ Dune-2.
And stick to a project that was completely developed from start to finish by the creative group Step is not good, sir... After all, in other times it would have been possible to register ZN as a trademarkand if you tried to skim off the popular game, you would face a trial and a hefty fine.
EM> It really doesn’t matter to me who does (and will do) Oberon
EM> - the most important thing is that this magazine does not become “pop,” a lame magazine
EM> “for 99% of readers.”
On SPF are you hinting? :)))
All your words are just words. Dust, nothing more. People are judged not by their words, but by their deeds. What can you brag about? A toothless clone of SPF - Oberon?
:))) Ten disk versions of games? :))) And you have the same ambition as if you... (insert as appropriate
yourself)...

YM>> 2 Zonov - “I don’t care who will develop Scorpions, just
YM>> if…”
EM> By and large, everyone really doesn’t care what kind of person
EM> is at the head of the enterprise that produces this or that computer.
Well, well... How do you like Scorpions from Softstar? Or a shadow monitor for them from Rambo?
Would you buy it?
YM>> 2Mednonogov - “I don’t care who writes Black Raven, as long as...”
EM> Absolutely right, it won’t be particularly important to me (and many) who
EM> will make this program on the Spectrum.
Heh! Yes, except for VM, no one else has managed to create a similar game on the ZX. Can you
imagine what Raven would look like, for example, from Excess (authors of Made in
Kazan). But this is still good...

Yes, if Petya from M-ska is lame, and Vasya from N-ska is lame professional game maker.
Hasta la vista, Evgeny! See you in Eden!

Why are you dragging everyone into this dispute. :) But in essence: if Vasya wrote ufo-1 before d-2, which for a year did not leave the first place in the tops, and Petya wrote Tetris in BASIC, then there is a difference. And it’s really important, because there is more confidence in the correct work of Vasya’s dune than in Petina’s. Of course, this is also true from the sales side - reputation, sir. And only after unexpectedly
Petina Dune takes first place and all foreign users will buy
scorpions and steal Pentagon diagrams just to play this dune - then
it will really no longer matter who wrote this bestseller.
All of the above is IMHO.
With all sorts of regards and wishes.

Answering yld Thursday, the 26 of June 1997:
YM>> Firstly, you “wisely” left out a clear question addressed to you.
YM>> I repeat: “What prevented you, a professional, from releasing the central
YM>> Spectrum magazine.”
EM> Well, since you insist on this:
EM> (a) Lack of _PERSONAL_ _ACQUAINTANCE_ with the leadership of the IFC, on
EM> which (IFK) at that time all spektrumists had high hopes.
Why do you need a personal acquaintance? It was impossible to send them the boards by mail? Moreover
that Oberon is free for you => less problems.
EM> (b) By the time other magazines appeared (for example, the same
EM> Oberon) SPF had already taken the leading place (again thanks to IFC).
So what... 1) Who stopped you from creating Oberon _earlier_?
2) Do you think that leaders cannot change? Everything depends
not on who released the magazine first, but who has the best one.
Example (not the best): Code Busters. Having started with Satisfaction
and Insult, he “slipped” in 96 to third place (Eye Ache).
EM> A typical example is ZX-Format. SPF that is in no way inferior, even
EM> superior to it
Again, a controversial issue. You can also read ZXNews (in area 24), where there was
an interview with Virtual Brazers.
EM> this magazine still did not“central”, the place has already been taken.
;) So, it turns out that not a single magazine, even if it was hundreds of times superior to SPF
in all parameters, can become central?
YM>> All people are different and it’s not a fact that a _good_ Dune-2 will turn out from
YM>> some Vasya.
EM> Stop, stop. St-t-t-t-t-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
EM> -+--+--+--+--+--+--+--+--+--+--+--+--+--+--+--+--+--+--+--+--+--+--+--+--+
EM> - -+-- I said that the game
>> _ALREADY_ _CREATED_ _AND_ _ALREADY_ _APRIORNO_ _GOOD_

Are you going to tell fairy tales? ;))) So that two magnificent and
equal games were created by different authors?! Come back to earth. We haven’t had anything like this and
it’s unlikely that we will ever have... Nowadays it’s difficult to find even one copy of this or that worthwhile
game.
YM>> But sticking to a project that was completely developed from start to finish
YM>> by the creative group Step is not good, sir...
EM> I already told you - your glory is not for me I need it, I have my own.
:)

EM> Would sir deign to apologize for his words? (I understand that
EM> you put a smiley i.e. joked (?)). Since either sir didn’t see
EM> the 3rd issue, or...
Finish :) Or he didn’t like it?
PS: Since you don’t like “toothless”, does that mean “toothy”? ;)

IG> Why are you dragging everyone into this dispute. :)
So I’m wondering if I’m the only “beginner” here, or if there are others. ;)
IG> But in essence: if Vasya wrote ufo-1 before d-2

IG> Petya wrote Tetris in BASIC, then there is a difference.
Please give a _REAL_ example. In addition, I said that the programs
_ALREADY_ _GOOD_.
And finally: what program was there before UFO-1? UFO-0? Or maybe it's
"Pinocchio"?
(2VM: sorry, but it looks like for spektrumists you are an ideal, and you are always cited as an example :))).
IG> And it's really important, because in
IG> the correct work of Vasya's dune there is more confidence than in Petina's.
What about the "beginners" programmers" ??? I don't understand you. What should people do who previously couldn’t, couldn’t (for a number of reasons), and then... bam...
they did it. Just take Gudkov as an example. What did you know about him before his
Soldier of The Future ?

Good luck ! Evgeny.

Do you see the underlined? You just realized that you said something stupid that was offensive to the authors and are now trying to get away with it. If you had "_ALREADY_" done ZH2 or better
something comparable (better, because then you wouldn't have any unnecessary problems),
then you would have been "professional Vasya", but now you look like "Petya from
M-ska". What's the point of hiring "Petya"? What are the guarantees that he won't fail or ruin the project? What exactly do you not understand? In my opinion, everything is extremely
clear...
With respect, Dmitry (OLDMAN).

Don’t evade the question. Tell me directly, if a _good_ version is already ready, does it matter to you who its author is?
And I, it seems, have already said that DUNE-2 was made on the Spectrum only to show off. IMHO - some authors have not even fully understood the IBM original.

DG>>> from you?
EM>> Look. You'll find out,
DG> I looked before asking.
Look even more carefully before speaking.
DG>>> By the way, what will happen in the fourth issue? Perhaps an apology again for
DG>>> "the overly sharp style of the 3rd"?
EM>> The 3rd is "too sharp"???!!!
DG> Well, it falls short of the first one ;)
Firstly, the 3rd number is not sharp at all, but the 1st in general.
And what does number 1 have to do with it.
[Disk crumbled]
DG>>> Now, probably, you’ll turn the arrows to MMA?
EM>> ???????????
DG> This tendency is noticeable in you. It’s almost like “it’s not me - it’s MMA”
At M.M. And no one turned the tables, Zhenya has his own head.
DG>>> I hope you won’t argue that number 3 surpassed number 1 in terms of quantity and
DG>>> “quality” of insults addressed to a bunch of people?
EM>> Apologize immediately.
Immediately sorry!

Fool. Flip-up. Card. Rulez. ;)

Not for Spectrumists, but for gamemakers. So, IMHO, more precisely. Every spektrumist
can become a game maker, but not everyone will become a _good_ and famous game maker.

No. If you haven’t forgotten, our group is called “author-hacker”, which, I hope, clearly indicates that hacking for us _NOT_ _IS_ a _MAIN_
_ACTIVITY_.
EM>> I’m not trying to excuse anything, it’s you who are already getting obsessive ideas

IG> It's one thing when it looks like a 'dark horse', and another thing when before
IG> there was a DAF-megademo, officially presented and distributed

No. IMHO - the whole point is that some people give their programs for distribution to the IFC, and the latter, almost regardless of the quality, begins a massive advertising campaign. But others do not act this way, and therefore for
many they are “dark horses”.
Good luck! Evgeny.
