Star Heritage-2 (formerly LMD)
ZXNet echo conference «zx.spectrum»
From Yury Matveyev → To All 24 June 1997
═════ Hello, Evgeny! ═══════════ Glad to see you! ═════════════
Here they once said:
EM> Why did you change the subject? Of course, I understand that Lamer(s) Must Die
EM> sounds more impressive and louder, but we seem to be talking about Heritage-2.
For me, in the definition of the word lamer, the adjective
“militant” is of greater importance, and the noun “teapot” no longer has any meaning. We are all “dummies” in some areas...
YM>> a person who wants to _cooperate_ would not allow himself such harsh and
YM>> often simply insulting statements addressed to us...
EM> In other words, he should always “look in the mouth” and nod his head in agreement?
Who told you that? Look anywhere and don’t nod your head, just don’t
jump on others...
EM> (Let’s put the topic of “who offended whom more” under the rug, okay?
EM> Otherwise, we risk again falling into that flame “who called whom before
EM> a lamer.” You drove at us no less harshly here in Ehe. And
EM> the most important thing is in your publications, where your word _a priori_
EM> is considered “more competent.”)
Editorial comments are the opinion of the editors, it can be anything. In the end, we are not the GLORY of the CPSU for everyone to like...
EM> Well, if this grandma (or grandpa)first it will take half an hour to chase
EM> about the fact that I don’t know how to cross the road, then... In general, they say,
EM> “in life” I’m even very cheerful and very correct.
:))) Merry fellow...
YM>> they said... Verbatim I said the following: “...maybe _you_ for the position
YM>> should I invite a coder?" (something like this)... This does not mean that I
YM>> OFFERED you a job...
EM> In my opinion, it was _you_ who did not understand something. Let's ask the people how
EM> an ordinary person regards such a phrase? Like a job offer, or like (what, by the way?).
Ask, ask... It was irony.
EM>>> 4. I _AGREE_.
YM>> When no one asked...
EM> Sorry, I’m still not good at reading other people’s thoughts.
Learn.
EM>>> 6. Is work on the project progressing? Is it worth it?
EM>>> So can anyone say for sure whether there will be a ZH-2 or not?
YM>> Only the wind knows the answer...
EM> I understand that the wind, yes ALL. That's why I turned to them. ;)
I mean, you want to know if anyone is writing the left ZH-2? Do you want to join?
Other people’s glory haunts you, at the expense of others you want to get on the pedestal?
Success...
══════ All the best! Yupiy ════════════
From Sergei Novikov → To All 24 June 1997
There is no need to turn everything upside down. A person who wants to cooperate should not constantly look for a reason to attack the person with whom he wants to cooperate, etc. Offering help in working on ZH2, you knew very well that you would be refused after
Oberon-1 (for those who are new to the echo, I’ll say that it was completely dedicated
to attacks on SPF and IFC), a reworked version of Rebel Star, in the loader of which there was, to put it mildly, a hit on STEP, disputes in the echo (where you accused the SPF of irresponsible
actions and statements) etc.
EM> (Let’s put aside the topic of “who insulted whom more”, okay? Otherwise
EM> we risk again falling into that flame “who called whom before called a lamer.”
EM> You went over us no less harshly here in the echo. And most importantly
EM> - in your publications, where yours the word _a priori_ is considered “more
EM> competent.”)
And you’re wrong about SPF18, no one called you lamers there. And the editors have the right to comment on the reader’s letter, so you had no reason to attack in Oberon-1.
EM> In general, they say, “in life” I’m even very cheerful and very correct.
As I understand it, Fido doesn’t relate to your life?
Hasta la vista, Evgeny! See you in Eden!

EM> I think it’s _you_ who didn’t understand something. Let's ask the people how an ordinary
EM> person regards such a phrase? Like a job offer, or like
EM> (like what, by the way?).
As a mockery. You didn't understand this. Then I made it clear to you that your level
does not suit us. You were denied a job. They do not consider him competent, capable of
help. What is still not clear?
From Evgeny Milun → To All 26 June 1997
YM> That is, you want to know if anyone is writing the left ZH-2? Would you like
YM> to join? Someone else's glory doesn't give you peace; at the expense of others, do you want to get on
YM> the pedestal? Good luck...
Listen, I’m already very tired of these words of yours “envy”, “other people’s glory does not give me peace”... Yes, I don’t need your glory, I don’t need it!!! I have my own, and not only the Spectrum one!!! Well, why do you always attribute envy to my every word? Don’t you know any other reasons? In the end
I get the impression that... (think for yourself).
What, now any person who disagrees with someone else on something is already
jealous of him? Yes, you are like some kind of Sigmund Freud.
And who else should I ask if you say one thing, and Novikov says another?
Good luck! Evgeny.

Answering yld Thursday, the 26 of June 1997:
SN>> Offering assistance in working on ZH2, you knew perfectly well
SN>> that you would be refused after Oberon-1 (for those who are new to the echo, I will say,
SN>> that it was entirely devoted to raids on SPF and IFC),
EM> No, not “attacks on SPF and IFC" and "thoughts about SPF and
EM> IFC."
Sad thoughts, I must say. Not a single friendly review, but a lot of
criticism.
SN>> the remade version of Rebel
SN>> Star, in the loader of which there was, to put it mildly, a hit on STEP,
EM> I remember - it was. But I’ve already said everything about this a long time ago -
EM> see my letter in the echo for March 11, addressed to you.
^^^^^^^^
8) Somehow I don’t keep old letters...
EM> There I even very clearly explained why this inscription was
EM> made in the loader.
Let’s say, but that means was there a collision? Eh?
SN>> And you’re wrong about SPF18, no one called you lamers there.
EM> Directly - no. But they indirectly led readers to this idea -
EM> yes.
:D But it seemed like that to you... While I was reading the commentary in SPF 18, I didn’t think anything like that. And this is an indicator. So, they didn’t “bring”?
EM> And if you are very interested in my opinion about Oberon - 1, then
EM> take a look at the introduction to the 2nd. I seeLee, I naively thought that for ordinary
EM> people ordinary apologies are enough.
Mistakes should not be admitted. They must be washed off... with blood (c) Captive of the Caucasus
;)))))))))))))
EM>>> In general, they say, “in life” I’m even very cheerful and very
EM>>> correct.
SN>> As I understand it, Fido doesn’t belong to your life?
EM> Yes, but what - I’m gloomy, boring here, always drunk, etc. ?
EM> ;)))
But not always cheerful for sure ;)
From Andrew MOA → To All 2 July 1997
On the day of 26 June 97, Evgeny Milun had the good fortune to write to Yury Matveyev:
EM> I tell you again - subconsciously, a priori, any reader already
EM> agrees with the opinion of the editors.
Strange, for some reason it’s the other way around for me, probably I’m not “every” reader.
EM> And let’s still give this topic Let's close.
To all parties: In general, I would recommend that you not pay attention to each other for some time.
For example, I, as a fairly outside observer, is gradually beginning
to develop a negative attitude towards the participants in the “discussion”. Moreover, it doesn’t matter to me anymore who is right (Matveev, Mulin, Grigoriev...). I'm just not interested anymore,
and not much more - and it will just be disgusting.
