From Alex Gofman To All 10 September 1997

Hello All !

1. Who can explain to me what kind of “brakes” are often mentioned in conversations, why they are needed and what kind of circuit (electrical) it is.
2. On my computer (Leningrad 1, 128k) the music in the demos "ILLUSION" and
"EYEACHE-" slows down. I tried to hang the capacitor on the 12th leg of D4 (IE7), but nothing works, although for my friend everything works fine. What is the reason?
3. Is it possible to turbocharge Leningrad 1? If so, how?

$$$ With best wishes ... Alex

Hardware braking of the processor. Sometimes it's useful for hacking, to see how
something works.

The reason is the presence in the Leningrad circuit of the WAIT signal, which slows down the process
with a certain confluence of signals in order to avoid hardware conflict. Because of this, Leningrad has fewer cycles of interruption than the Pentagon. In theory, everything should work, but some people write under Pentagon buses,
and on the aisle, and in this case the program starts working in two interruptions, not having time for one. There is only one entry: having Leningrad, it is proud of a good scheme compatible with the branded Specky, branded multicalors, and do not take to heart the programs written not for the Specky, but for the Pentagon! :-)))) You can turbocharge Leningrad, for this you need a diagram, I don’t have one, butthere is no
time to develop. I'll try to find a ready one.

Sincerely, Alex from FFC COMPUTERS.
