-─═┤ Hello /*All*/! ├═─- -─═┤ Digital *Music* Team ├═─-

All this chatter, which has been going on for a hell of a long time, is starting to sadden me, chatter about Specky dying/not dying...
I speak as a person who every time, when I heard something on
this topic I was very upset...
I don’t want to argue with anyone, I just wanted to say something:
Of course it’s possible to create a computer on this platform that won’t
yield to the leading ones, but is it worth pulling the ears that in the current time
has not developed by leaps and bounds, it is much more reasonable to start doing this with a completely new platform that meets all modern requirements. Although this also does not make sense in the world in which you and I
live because... a gray mass is a gray mass, and it dominates everything (more specifically: the Amiga, Mac platforms, even on such a scale as a Mac with a good new (relatively) platform cannot become a leader - a vicious circle: less
sold - costs more, also with PiSyuk, but that's all on the contrary: they buy more
- the price falls)
_Conclusion_: Specky for me was the best computer for the poor,
became a toy computer for programmers and coders (I don’t know, really
the difference)... Just imagine: all the resources are at your disposal hands, you
can easily control them, and you can happily train your brain by
tryingto do something
unusual, something ingenious, cute or beautiful in very limited space and resources... ;)

PS: I, of course, wrote that I don’t want to argue, but I would be happy to hear your
opinion on this matter... :)

PSS: I suddenly realized that this is all nonsense ;)

-─═┤ Well, I won’t distract you anymore (and less too)! /Ed/ /Elfish/ ├═─-

And imagine - all the resources are in your hands, easily managed, but no longer
_in_a_limited_space_!
You can easily say - “What the heck! Go buy a PC/Amiga”,
but I don’t have and I’m unlikely to have the money for it, but I can easily install
a 4MB SIMM in my Pentagon, and you can use it
to its fullest, both as a ramdisk for a mailer, and
with music/graphics from other platforms work, and you can already do preemptive
multitasking...
And all resources are just as easy to manage - do whatever you want ;)

well, in principle you are right, but because of the same financial problems, not everyone
can afford to greatly upgrade their Spectrums.
Here's another one:
PiSyuki - are developing immeasurably;
Spectra are also developing, but weakly (it’s difficult to do this)
Consumer requirements are growing quickly, Spectrum cannot
satisfy all the needs of the average (if we take from all
platforms) consumer.
So I’m forso that the Spectrum remains (but develops) a computer for
programming games

IMHO, playing programming is done on the PC, and on the Spectrum
art programming.

DD> you can... And that's all
EI> but there is no such productivity
Yes, I know that Speck will never produce such productivity.
But it is quite possible, say, for the parallel operation of a mailer and an
mail editor. And if you just have a set of necessary programs sitting in your memory, between which you can quickly climb, it will still be faster than loading them from disks ten times.
