ZASM-3.1

█▓▒░ Hello, All!
Today my brother and I watched the ZASM 3.1 demo version. My brother was literally stunned by
it, especially by the interface and how printing is done from under it.
Can you tell me when the full version will be released and where it can be obtained.
It would be nice to have the ability to assemble into any
page in the full version, like in ALASM 3.8.

█▓▒░ Hello, Konstantin!
One day [Friday May 09, 1997], when Konstantin Afendikov wrote to Yurok
Merkulov:
KA> thank you. And the overlay system isn’t too annoying?
It’s okay, we throw all the overlays into the RAM disk, and everything is okay.
KA> 2DG: Don’t _professional_ coders print out their source codes? G8)
We use it (while it is a demo version) as a text editor and print texts
from it. The funny thing is that it prints better than on a PC running Windows 95. I was shocked, and my brother gloated!!!!
KA> soon. G8)
As always? ;)
KA> most likely directly from the authors, i.e. with us. G8)
How and when to look for you?
KA> What kind of computer? This feature can only be available at 256/512/1024K. Yes
KA> and it needs to be done....
Pentagon-512 + all sorts of Spectrum stuff.
KA> 2All: Does everything work for everyone? And then we remembered that we forgot to remove the Kempston Joystick with
KA> IM 2
KA> - it works like a cursor. Should I patch it or not?
We didn’t use a Kempston joystick, so we don’t know. Proceed at your
discretion.

Does it print a lot of pages? It seems like we put a stub on page 1...

Glad to see you, Konstantin!
We looked at subj and everything would be cool, but there is one significant glitch. You guys
forgot that before accessing the disk, in addition to setting IM1, you need to set the 63 (
#3F ) vector, otherwise on computers with separate memory fields all disk
operations do not work. But in general, assembler is really cool. We are looking forward to
the full version.
Sincerely Yours, [RED Limited Drunkards Group]
Alexey Moscvin.

Hello! Dear Konstantin!
Yes... I won’t forget this (Subj) soon... What a lover of
comfort you have to be to master assembler like that. I understand that using the Shalaevsky
emul is a complete thrill to work in Subj. But you haven’t thought about mere mortals
with a 128 kilowatt computer (I’m not talking about myself), who can’t even copy
frequently used overlays to a RAM disk. I used ZASM-3.0 with great pleasure, I wrote a game in it, but I’m unlikely to be dragged into using Subj. Now
if you had made ZASM single-pass, speeded up the page (this is not necessary),
made a version with 64 characters per line and applied the principle: 1 page -
1 text, then neither Alasm, nor TASM-4, nor anything else would have pulled me away from Subj.
And I still don’t understand at all why assembler Music Player??? After all, it is more convenient to use a music editor or at least Inter Mode Player (by the way, there will soon be a new version with decompilation, without conversion for now, and also with a new interface).
Everything I wrote here is my IMHO. So don't be offended.
With respect, [RED Limited Drunkards Group]
Roman.
