I'm surprised!

ZXNet echo conference «zx.spectrum»

From Sergei Novikov To All 27 July 1997

Greetings, Andrey! Glad to see you again!

Answering yld Thursday, the 24 of July 1997:

AS> I heard here by hearsay :) about the new
AS> comper - Sprinter. So: is no one really interested in this? I understand
AS> that Denis Parinov
AS> ONLY writes about him (many thanks to him!) and writes as if
AS> into the void, since NOBODY
AS> answers him.

=) If they don’t answer, it means they don’t want to or are not interested.

AS> Are there really no questions?

Everything is already clear about it.

AS> It’s much more interesting to read discussions than just stories...

There have already been discussions. No need to repeat.

AS> And by the way, maybe we should open a new echo, especially for the new
AS> comper.

8))) Or is this about SpbZxNet? Better than ZX.SPECTRUM.GAMES, as suggested by
YM a year ago.

Hasta la vista, Andrey! See you in Eden! Novikov Sergei AKA Spirit/STEP
[Team ZX ASM] [Team AMD - Amiga Must Die] [Team Aries Rulez Forever] [Team EM²D]

From Roman Alexandrov To All 27 July 1997

I explain: 95% of the subscribers of this echo are nostalgic pisishniks (not having Sinclair), the Spectrum for them is a bright memory of their youth, so ideas about the development of
ZX either do not arouse their interest, or cause a feeling of an attack on bright
memories. In addition, in some (fortunately not many) letters, the unspoken is clearly
read between the lines: “Where are you with your pig
(Spekovsky) snout, and join our Kalash (piss, Amiga) row.”
I probably won’t be mistaken if I say that more than half of the former and current
spectrumists believe that despite all the the attractiveness of the Sprinter idea,
it is hopelessly late (by five years) and will not pass due to socio-economic
reasons, I personally also belong to this category.

From Andrew MOA To All 28 July 1997

On the day 24 Jul 97 Andrey Shvec had the good fortune to write to All:

AS> I heard here by hearsay :) about the new comper - Sprinter. So
AS> here: is no one interested in this? As I understand it, Denis Parinov ONLY writes about him
AS> (many thanks to him!) and writes as if
AS> into the void, since NO ONE answers him.

Probably (and probably), they answer him by netmail.

AS> Are there really no questions? It is much more interesting to read discussions than just stories...

There were some small discussions, but they settled on the fact that it is inappropriate to discuss something that does not exist (not at all, but on sale). As soon as the company demonstrates a commercial product and issues some kind of documentation (although there is already some and
this is good), a topic will appear. The wait, as I understand it, is not long left.
