Hi, Zinov'ev!

░ I'm sitting, downloading the tenth megabyte of mail, reading messages out of boredom.
░ Suddenly I see - Zinov'ev Yury writes to Alex Letaev on the topic
░ war of the past. How can I not answer here?

AL>> It depends on the number of ldi: if you replace it with 2 ldi, and add djnz
AL>>, then it will be slower.

ZY> Clear pepper :))) I meant a bunch of LDI in series. Actually
ZY> I programmed a little at one time ;))

I installed 20 LDIs sequentially. There was no difference in speed.

With best regards, Pawel Anokhin.

Glad I found you alive, Pawel!!!
However, on Aug 29, 97 you wrote something addressed to Zinov'ev Yury:

PA> I put 20 LDI sequentially. There was no difference in speed.

I can see how you loop. And look at how long it takes you to actually draw the buffer. If there are ten frames, then it’s clear - you won’t notice the difference, 11
frames the next frame is drawn or 10.5 :)

With best wishes, John.

ps: I hope I won’t hurt your self-confidence if I recommend you how to do it.
First you need a small tablet in which will go sequentially
the source address, then the destination address for each line. Then we will get
a wonderful piece of code:

loop pop hl
pop de
ldi
...
ldi
djnz loop

pps: If you have an extra six kilobytes of memory at your disposal, then I can
recommend another, the fastest method known to me transferring
data.

Calculate how many cycles it will be.

Good luck! Evgeny.

Good advice ;) , but what about the BC correction?
(4 screen 192x20 192x20/256=15, BC=207?)

... Just recovered from a trip to St. Petersburg (tnx to Larkov & Godfather)

almost all the mail crashed, whoever wrote please respond.

change to dec a; jr nz,loop ;) Either even trickier - to calculate BC in advance, well i
then dhampik after ldi cycle.

With best wishes, John.
