░░▒▒▓▓ Ave, All, morituri te salutant ▓▓▒▒░░

People, does anyone have a description of the TR-DOS floppy disk format? File system
there, etc.

Long life and easy death to you

From Pavel Fedin To All 2 August 1997

hello, Michael Lihovidov! I remember that on 31 Jul 97 you took it and launched
in All with this:

ML> People, does anyone have a description of the TR-DOS floppy disk format? File
ML> system there, etc.

What exactly are you interested in? I can post absolutely everything.

bye, with all my best wishes, Pavel Fedin.

From Alexander Scorovarov To All 6 August 1997

ML>> The file system is there, etc.

PF> What exactly are you interested in? I can lay out absolutely everything.

If, of course, there is textual information on this issue, then it wouldn’t be a bad idea
to read it because I’m afraid that I only know what I’ve encountered myself And now
I’m thinking about one thing and I don’t know if what I already know is enough for me
Then I won’t remember to take advantage of the existing awareness ???

Text information exists - this is my book. ;-) Sold at
Inforcom. It's called "Full ROM disassembler TR-DOS 5.04T".

To be fair, we should also mention ours with Kolya "ZX Spectrum & TR-DOS
for users and programmers", although it is no longer for sale - it's a rarity.

hi, Andrew MOA! I remember that on Aug 28, 97 you just launched this at me:

AM> Of course. The main thing is that you can “trace” the work of the subsection, _comparing_ it
AM> with the description given here :)

I’m glad that at least someone appreciated me in some way. ;-) And then most people
didn’t even read it. :-(

PF>> you don’t have all the variables,

AM> Naturally.

Why “naturally”?

AM> Let’s just say, mostly correct, with minor insignificant flaws
AM> :) (and who doesn’t have them? In general, we tried).

This is true. Just don’t think that I’m trying to criticize you. I really respect
your work, especially since you were the first to describe things that had never existed before.

AM> And yet, for 91-92 (the year the material was written, and the variables
AM> were “unraveled” much earlier :) this was not very bad, especially
AM> the description of the user’s work with the system itself. And the source code reconstructor
AM> turned out to be unclaimed at that time :(

This is true... Although, it’s unlikely that anyone needed it then - studying it gives a lot. I’ve seen a lot of different loaders, but none of the authors used ROM procedures that exactly repeated it,
obviously due to the fact that he did not know about their existence. And about variables -
yes, I saw "the beginning of everythingbegan" - a thin little yellow book, in which
there was the highest density of errors per page that I had ever seen.
I remember that I puzzled for a long time what a “non-standard key
keyboard scanning” was... :-)))))))
