Your idea of replacing the Z80 with some left-handed processor just looks unusual.
Why not *86 then? :)
Warm greetings, Slava!

I'm glad that I found you alive, Vyacheslav!!!
However, on July 26, 97 you wrote something addressed to Alexander Trush:

Although the *86 series is very similar to the Z80, it has a lot of limitations. For example:
small number of registers (of course, more than in the zilog, but not enough);
addressing methods are not much expanded compared to the Z80;
highly specialized use of registers (only CX can be a counter,
accordingly, with a nested loop you have to constantly save it); and much
other things.
Unfortunately, I don’t really know the Intel80x86 series yet, but what I know about it
isn’t impressive. And therefore, most likely, I will be a complete opponent of installing
80x86 on the Spectrum.
With best wishes, John.

Not everyone can call THIS a processor! :-)))
Sincerely, Alex from FFC COMPUTERS.

1. Not convenient for building emulators.
2. Requires complex framing.
3. All processors are slow, up to 486. (Number of generator cycles per
command)
4. Like in that joke: “No matter how much you rebuild, you’ll still end up with a PC...” :-)
Bye-bye.

I hope that no one will think of this at all, after all, we need a
SUPER Spectrum, and not a pile of scrap metal. And in general, Intel-compatible processors are not for him, there must be something else (you need to take the Cray 4 mother)
