Is it worth living if you still die in the end? (2Marat F.)

From Andrew Savichev To All 9 February 1998

Hi, All!

------
M. Faizullin “My friend, I went through your “things”, twice.
First, when the MSX died, then, when the Amiga died.”
------
First I’ll say that analogies are inappropriate here. For about a dead person, only the memory and disciples who continue his work remain.
Software is a peculiar thing... the presence of commented source codes and
accompanying documentation is already the path to “immortality”.
Only something whose followers were too selfish and
closed dies forever, leaving no documents for anyone.
Remember everything, the wise words of Bulgakov, “Manuscripts don’t burn!”
Clay tablets from Babylon have reached us!!! CD-ROM, to some extent, is the same
clay tablet. A CDROM came out with emulsions (the same MSX, your Marat), but without games, software, diagrams, descriptions. Those. from a distance, but crookedly.
Do everything “straight” if you want the thing to live for a long time.
And finally SUBJ. Whoever thinks so (that it’s not worth living if you’re going to die anyway)
fortunately for everyone else: 1) does not give birth to offspring; 2) leaves his offspring
orphans (greatly reducing the chances of further survival of the family as a whole).
We are not the first, we are not the last, but we are only links in a long chain from
the creation of the world to the Last Judgment.
Okay, so that this bazaar is not purely offtopic, I will continue about
Spectrum.
What is thereSpectrum phenomenon? The topic of a separate huge article.
People who think that in the noosphere (the kingdom of creations of the mind and human hands)
there can be laws that are very different from the general laws of evolution of the ecosphere
are very mistaken!
Then only cockroaches or dinosaurs would survive, but a slightly larger
number of species and subspecies of creatures survive ;).
In the world of computers, one platform, as it were, it did not puff, it cannot crush
all other platforms, just as one nation cannot crush other
nations or one religion cannot crush other religions (but they “puff”, and even
and how ;)).
This does not mean that everyone survives automatically.
But only those who have the will and potential for this!
As unfortunate as it is for transnational monsters, every nation has features
of a national character ;)
If they didn’t exist, then everyone would probably dress the same....
I’m omitting the huge
list of predicates ;) > and work on one single computer.
Oh, this is the ultimate dream of Uncle Sam ;) Read S. Lem, he had a good joke about it
(though maybe he meant Russia? ;) )
They will tell me that Spectrum is not suitable for this place.
Yes, probably :(. But so far there is nothing else worthy of replacing it in
this place! But it gives stability and confidence in the future to its
supporters! And you remember howRus' accumulated strength against the invincible and formidable Tatars. But it all ended with the fact that Russia is now Russians +
Tatars + many other peoples (Russians are not a nation, but only one of the peoples),
and for the West - so we are all Tatars ;)
IBM PC is not working! You can, of course, ride on American tanks, but
this is an ersatz measure - a necessary measure until its own T34 arrives in time.
Russia will rise - it will have its own national computer (at least it may
be on American chips ;)).
This is the look :)
And that’s all, Marat, I of course understand you, “those who survived the cataclysm remain
in pessimism...”, but since childhood I was irritated by characters like the donkey Eeyore
and crows, croaking, I really don’t like... and who loves them?
Please don’t be offended. Of course, you are very cool and everything around you is also very cool! But not everyone wants to fly... but everyone wants a happy, joyful life...
If you find the opportunity and desire to work for Spectrum, we will be very happy! :)
