Well, call it something else. ;) "First mode interruptions"? "First mode

What do you think, I take the Review seriously???

DG> Why is it bad in principle, regarding the shadow monitor.
I ask again: which version of STS compares to which version of the monitor?
STS below 4.x click #FD, 4.x - as far as I remember, they do not work quite correctly with register R. I’m not talking about such a thing as occupied memory.
I can’t say much about the monitor either. My 2.3j (already quite ancient) lags behind STS in only one way - it cannot show “cartoons” during step-by-step tracing.
And I repeat once again - I use both (the monitor) and the other (STS, but only our version).

They shouldn’t have refined them “that way”! Games need to be diskette

You see, Max, well, I restored OUTRUN, added the track - so why not add the 128th mode, AY FX, a little bit of graphics, music? After all, I still got the hang of the structure of the game... Not a masterpiece, but did anyone find it worse than the proprietary version? Or did someone manage to do better? How would you diskette
Captain Fornication? Also one download? Why not finish for the authors what they themselves did not think of? After all, time passes, criteria change... In any case, I have never heard from anyone that I made a version of the game _worse_ than the original, which, however, can be viewed by loading the game in 48
mode (naturally, it is still glitched there). I
always left the 48th original mode untouched, and all the 128th ones are already my perversions; whoever doesn’t want
may not use it ;) Can you give many examples of how they did this, that is,
they played without my “additions”? And I have more than a hundred _simply_ (well, with cheats, of course) :) Less than you, of course, but you didn’t spendtime
to “adding your own” ;-) By the way, how then should we perceive SHADOW DANCER and
LEMMINGS 128 (by RST7, of course, but you’re the organizer there)? In my opinion, sooner or
later, any hacker begins to add something of his own to a hack - accumulated experience takes its toll, although you can call it a crisis of the genre... Or a transition from the "hack" level to the "remix" level... when the intro takes much less time
and feelings than restoration.
MI> CUL8ER! Max

Sincerely, Dmitry (OLDMAN).
From Sergei Novikov → To All 24 March 1997
Imho, if after such an addition the game becomes better, then this is already a good deed
and can only be supported. But if in the form of a remix the game becomes glitchy
and/or crooked - then you are right.
DG> You see, Max, I restored OUTRUN, added the route - so why

DG> After all, I still got into the structure of the game... Not a masterpiece, but what -
DG> someone thought it was worse than the branded version?
A masterpiece, and what a masterpiece. True, the second level of the game itself didn’t work well by changing it - but
that’s the authors’ fault.
DG> Or did someone manage to do it better? How would you diskette
DG> Captain Blud? Also one download? Why not finish for the authors
DG> what they themselves didn’t think of?
Or they simply didn’t want to do it. After all, it’s one thing to want it, and another thing to waste a day on normal service, which will not bring additional profits in the future. So we see in most programs a boring monotonous menu with five
points for selecting controls. And it’s not even a matter of saving memory - buyers
at that time bought a _game_, not a game + a beautiful menu. Although already in the late eighties and early nineties they began to pay attention to design (Golden Ax,
WWF). And inserting cool menus/music and, finally, making the game look nice is not at alla misdemeanor, but a deed worthy of praise ;) [Marasm? :) ]
[smth was devastated...]

DG> they didn’t think of it themselves?
It’s not for you to decide what they thought of and what they didn’t! I've always
wanted to collect a complete collection of branded games, and !without!
any extra extras. And now, in order to simply put your
version on my server, I will need to make my own disk version...

And Shadow Dancer should be perceived as a version restored from
full of firewood! After all, I didn’t start adding rounds to it,
although during recovery I had to dolevel editor!
And when (6 months ago) I received a branded cassette with
Shadow Dancer, in my version only 2 enemies were not in their
places!

I haven’t seen the branded version, nor have I seen other versions, but I can note the drawback of your
version - it’s very slow loading. It's better without Mouzon, but quickly.
