I agree that there really is this “extra energy level” somewhere.
But it’s actually included. "band of energy levels" of Sprinter.
Sprinter's graphics allow you to organize the specified modes. To do this,
just sit for a week at MAX-Plus and write the resulting file to a floppy disk
for further use.use on Sprinter.

Here I would like to roughly describe the structure of the Sprinter screen, because
I feel some ignorance of what I have done.

The Sprinter screen is a set of squares in which its own
video mode is set. Each square is 8x8 regular dots or 16x8/16x16
high-resolution graphics dots.
The entire screen is 40x32 such squares.
For each square on a special video RAM page there is information about the output mode and the address in the video RAM, from where the data sent to the screen is selected.

There are five modes.
1.ZX-Spectrum - a square is defined as one familiarity in the Spectrum format.
2.ZX-Spectrum-80 - one square is two familiarities, compressed horizontally. In
this mode, text is displayed in 80x32 character format when all screen squares
are defined as ZX-Spectrum-80.
3.GRAF-8-16 - a square is a graphic image of 8x8 dots with 16 colors per dot.
4.GRAF-8-256 - the same as GRAF-8-16, but 256 colors per dot.
5.GRAF-16-16 - square - 16x16 dots, 16 colors per dot.
The GRAF-16-256 mode is also planned.

In all modes, colors are set from a palette of 16 million. flowers per point. In addition, each graphic mode square can have its own palette from a set of 4 palettes. Those. Four pictures with their own images can coexist on the screenpalettes.

The ability to set the address of video data for each square allows you to easily
build highly dynamic games based on block graphics.

It should be noted that in each square the output mode is set independently of
others. This means that both graphic
images with different resolutions and character modes of the ZX can easily coexist on the screen..

By rewriting addresses in squares, fast scrolling of both the entire
screen and its parts is achieved. To scroll a graphic screen 320x256x256
you need to send not 80 kilobytes, but only two and a half.

I hope this information was interesting for everyone.

You are on the right course, comrades. Only now I realized that this is not
Spectrum, and Spectrum is only one of the possible options.... COOL!
I take all my *bad* words back. sorry......
